Default Car Cover for xB???

We are new xB-ers in Pennsylvania. Very few here up to now, but we expect to see more very soon.

We have seen a car cover for the xB listed on some sites. Even Scion lists it as an option. Is it available yet? What is it made of and does it have a cable around the base for locking? Also, anyone know the price?

Very grateful for any pointers.

Happy xBeing.

Thanks - It is a work in progress / Video System and X-Box being installed next .... LOL

I grew up in Carnegie and moved across state about 5 years ago .... Still have family back there !

Pittsburgh was nice at one time, but everytime I go back to visit, I do not like it ....

Default car covers

Hi

We carry three types of car covers for Scions. Your choice of fabric type would depend on where you park your Scion. Do you park it indoors or outdoors? If you park it mostly indoors and only need something lightweight, the Multibond Block-it 200 would be right for you. For outdoor use, you may want to consider the Evolution or Noah car covers. Anyway, here is a link to our web page that lists the types and links to prices and detailed descriptions.

I may find myself in a situation where i need to purchase a cover. What would stop the cover from moving in a windy situation? I can only imagine what the constant buffing would do to the paint underneath the cover.

As best we can tell from some of the research we've been doing, the nicer ones have a soft inner surface that touches the car. Plus, we've use them in the past on other cars (a BMW and a Jeep Grand Cherokee, e.g.), and it seems that as long as you have a good fit with a fairly tight tie through the grommets around the base, the cover doesn't move much in the wind anyway.

good luck,

Whatever the material is like, you must make sure the car is clean before you put the cover on if you want to avoid tiny scratches. I got a custom xB cover from California Car Cover Co., http://www.calcarcover.com/, in Stormweave material (which if I remember right is Kimberly Clark Evolution 4) for $180 plus shipping. The cover material is thick, and the fit is so tight that no cable is needed, it doesn't flap around in a breeze, and it can't blow off in almost any wind (and we get some mean storms on the Carolina coast).
