Default FAQ in order?

I have some time on my hands the next 2 days, and I am thinking... maybe we need something like a frequently asked questions post (that's stickied) for people to refer to BEFORE posting?

The other site I browse, mx6.com, has one for the car and it seems to work nicely to solve common problems: http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68801

Think I should start working on compiling information about the car/how to get it/what to pay/problems/aftermarket?

Thanks for the input!

Don't waste your time. Half the time people don't even look at the sticky posts and will repost old topics again anyway due to either laziness or ignorance.

i was going to try and set this up for each model. if people have something that should be added, post it here. then once this is done all the information can be combined into one post

Good idea. I would just start reading the old threads and make a note of where you see "this has been discussed before". Everything is still pretty new here so you won't have to go searching through archives or anything.

This topic has already been discussed, do a search before you post.

Seems like it would be hard to create a FAQ since there would be so many things always changing. The only type of FAQ I know of is a $10 Chilton's guide. Other than that, I always thought it would be better to pre-create the topics and only let people post in those. So for example, if you click dealer accessories, you would have:

-Floor Mats
-Auto-dimming mirror
-6 CD Changer
-OBX Shift ****
etc.

And people would either post rants, comments, suggestions in the appropriate categories. Some of the main categories would include:

-Dealer Accesorries (TRD, dealer options)
-After Market Accessories
-Purchasing a tC (financing, rebates, dealer experiences)
-Members Cars and Photos
-Stories
-Opinions needed (What do you think about these RIMS, about this sound system, about ripping out my seats and using hello kitty fabric)
-Misc

The only other two places people could post new topics would be Stories, Opinions needed, and Misc. the only Drawback I see is that you're gonna have like a 15 page post say on an OBX Shiftknob and that you'll read everything, with a whole bunch of small posts like "No, they suck." or "Yea, I think that would work" that you would have to skip through.
