Default I am starting to regret Hotchkis...

Ok, so heres the lowdown... I just bought some 18" tsw thruxtons and after spending a huge amount of money.... I went to mcgeorgeparts.com to blow some more cash for a set of Hotchkis springs... after I bought it, I started reading alot of threads speaking of RUBBING... Now I will have a 18" 225/40/18 + Hotchkis with a 35 offset... any suggestions on whether I will have severe rubbing, hard time over bumps, suckage on potholes.. are kindly accepted lol because I really want to know.

You will have some issues with hard bumps. The issue can be solved. The best thing to do is just wait and see once the springs arrive. Or if you want to lower your Tc still and not have to worry about rubbing look into the Vogtland springs or coil overs

You should've read some posts first before you bought them. But I think it'll be solved one way or the other... :D

18" 225/40/18 + Hotchkis with a 35 offset, you should be completely fine. Thats not a problem at all. You start asking for trouble when you're going for a 8"+ wide rim and a 19" diamenter rim. You should be fine with a 225/40/18

I have 225/40/18 with 18x8 +37 and no rubbing at all... I have the hotchkis setup and the only problem i am having is with the sways. they are creaking badly over bumps, and i have already turned them in for a look see... the handling on these are awesome, and i love the way they feel, but the sways ceaking are bothering me. I will most likely take it to the dealer this time, and tell them to find what the problem is an d just fix it, no matter the cost.. As for my shocks they are stock and have no probs... good luck

My hotchkis set-up makes a creaking sound sometimes when I go over high driveways and huge bumps because I angle my car to avoid scrapping. But other than that it's as quiet as a dead rat.

I can hear it at the back, I just don't know if it's the springs or the rear sways that are making the sound.

I have the trds and are 1.3inch dropped - if you hit some potholes you deff would hear the car slam. A lot of people love lower drops and wouldn't change. If I could have gotten 1inch drops i would have because of the horrible roads in the NJ/NY/PA area. I already blew out a rim early this year by hitting a pothole doing 25-30mph. Prob if i was going 60 it would have been ok but I was stuck it traffic.

I don't see you having a rubbing issue with those wheels and the Hotchkis springs. They're far enough out for the front to clear on hard turns and the car should sit right above the rear wheels so you should have any problems.

you should be fine.

I run an 18x7.5 wrapped in 225/40/18 with a +33mm offset. I'm settled on S-Tech's and i only get rubbing on dips in the road or when i turn sharply when im going fast (which i tend to do because i LOVE my hotchkis sways)

the rub is only in the front.

My hothkis were creaking as well. I found out what the issue was...blown shock. It was due to an accident, so insurance covered it, but now the other one is blown just from heavy driving. I've only had them on a few months.

I don't think your have any rubbing issues, and hard corning and breaking isn't an issue, but if you take bumps fast and hard (there's this one I hit every day that I keep forgetting about) then you might blow a shock.
