Replaced with links...darn the internet for preventing picture linking and wasted bandwidth.

I would have to say I am very suprised that there have been no real spyshots on any of the car spy websites even though I've heard there is a proto-type driving around...

The Car Connection's web page had a couple of shots of an unusual hatchback on THIS (http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiasts/Spy_Shots_and_Future_Cars/Spy_Shots_Toyota_Hatchback_Coupe.S178.A10712.html) web page, If you compare the heavily disgused vehicle with a picture of the Toyota Ractis "tall wagon" sold in Japan, note that from the B-pillar forward the two vehicles look almost exactly alike. This tells me that the new Scion xD is essentially a US version of the Toyota Ractis (but with a slightly different body design), likely powered by the 130 bhp 1.8-liter I-4 used on the Toyota Yaris TS sports hatchback sold in Europe.

As for the next-generation xB, my guess is that it will be based on the new Toyota Corolla Fielder wagon that just went on sale in Japan, but powered by the same 2.4-liter I-4 engine used on the tC sports coupe. [/code]

Is it possible the Toyota Auris is the new xD it fits the descriptions in other forums it has a 1.8 which is the rumored engine from toyota and it is a Sport wagon which is what toyota says it is and if you look at the headlights they do have the Scion look to them hell the whole car has scion cues all over it

but we can keep a car for more than 3 years without having to replace it's motor.

What's wrong with getting already existing Japanese cars? The just keeps the US from having to deal with the early model issues.

And who needs a car that parks itself? That is just a worthless feature.

nothing is wrog. but from everything i've heard , seen all that jazz it's nothing that's been out in japan . at least not for long.

a car that parks itself? not worthless at all. i wouldn't buy a car just for that but if a car i like has that . man oh man. heck yes.

I can't wait for someone to hit another car and blame it on the self-parking feature. There has got to be a way to hit something even with all those sensors. The Lexus you still control the braking and the forward corrective steering (and forward throttle I believe).
