can anyone tell me what the difference between the 4-1 and the 4-2-1 are?

i mean other than piping and such, any differences in where the power benefits? etc.

4-1 headers are more for racing apps. because it maximizes top end power and well.. race cars operate at or near redline the whole time.....

but for more practical use.. a 4-2-1 header is better because it evenly distributes power throughout the power band.

 

so a 4-2-1 would be better overall if i was just wanting a bit more pep at acceleration? cool.

now what about if i added a SC? would it matter then? (keep in mind, daily driver with maybe once in awhile burst of speed)

yeah a 4-2-1 would be a good choice to go with. i personally have the strup 4-1, which is still an awesome choice because our peppy engines have the vvt-i kick in around the top end. anyway, whatever style/brand you choose to go with, i'm sure you'll like the result.

 

i have the strup too. in second right around 3k you feel it pull harder.
