Hi I know that a lot of people have already posted things about the alarm system but here is one more. Is there a Glass Breakage Sensor included with this alarm? (I have an xB) I got a call from my dealer today and he said that there is not one available for the xB. I looked in my owners manual for the alarm and there it is, it says: " The xB- Security provides protection for your vehicle above and beyond entry point monitoring- it "listens" for the noise made by breaking glass. Using a microphone designed specifically for this task, the Glass Breakage Sensor is capable of ignoring other noises, which helps to prevent "false alarms" from occurring. It then goes on to tell you how to test it, I have and it don't work. I don't think that Scion Corp is training it's personal very good.

 

Yeah dude, the factory alarm comes with a sensor for, well..the sound of breaking glass. Some dealers are idiots and dont really care about the cars they sell. I mean, lets face it, to them its not a really cool car, its just the car they sell. It's no big deal to them. But anyway, the alarm is a option so he might have been talking about what the car has stock.
