just put a credit/debit card into the kiosk, answer a few questions, and your tickets print out at the airport...

Well, we didn't use a credit/debit card to book the flight because it was free. So I'm assuming that we should do it online. I've never used a travel agent for airline tickets. Anyone know how this works?

right, when i did this last year, they sent me a ticket . . . this time it looks like we're using "ticketless confirmation" . . . So i don't know . . . should i go to the website and print something out? do i need to go online and confirm something? should i just show up and go "HEY! I am here! Woo Hoo!" . . .

don't know . . .

it doesnt matter if we book it or not, the kiosk simply uses the credit/debit card info to look up your name and match it to any tickets with similar info for the day...

or you can just walk up to the counter, give the lady your ID so she can read your name, find your info in the system, and print out your ticket (which is the exact same thing the kiosk does using your credit/debit card).

really???
i thought that you had to use the credit card you booked the tickets with to look it up...

not really sure

i have done ticketless travel before
just print a copy of the itinerary.. some airlines even let you print your boarding pass online from your house in which case if your not checking bags you can just go straight to security...

do you guys have the same last name (dumb question but some married people dont) because the kiosk will find all available tickets with the same last name, destination, flight # etc.

I know thats what my gF did because her mother doesnt have any type of card. She put her debit card in and was able to print out all the tickets for her family - father, mother, sister, brother, and herself.

I did the credit/debit card thing when I went to Vegas on Scion's dime. The tickets (mentioned above) for my gF were also booked by another family memeber with different last name and it worked too. Although I do see the logic behind the whole "have to use the card you paid with to get your tickets."

Any way you do it, you will still get on the plane...

I think that is what I'm going to do. I'm flying US Airways to Charlotte, NC and then to Miami. They have web check-in on their site. If I have a connecting flight, can I print out the boarding pass for both flights? I'm assuming that I can?

yes you can.. it'll print for your entire trip (TO Miami)
the tricky part will be the return trip...
might just mean you have to stand inline for an agent person to hook you up with your boarding passes ...

i DO know miami airport is freaking huge and lines and stuff are gonna SUCK.. so everyone should leave AMPLE time once at the airport to get checking in etc...

why not just show up a lil earlier the morning of and have them do it..

if you go to the airline ticket counter (where you check in) they can take care of you
all they need is your id and they will hook it up.

Thank you for all your help playindagamewell!

That's cool, my return flight is non-stop to SFO. But I'm staying an extra night and leaving Sunday. I hear Saturday nights in Miami are the best night to go out! And my Sunday flight leaves at 6:00pm! So I will have plenty of time to nurse my hangover!

i was looking at aa.com and you can check in on-line and print your boarding pass from home. Im probably going to do this since it looks pretty easy and simple and saves a little time...check it out...

What he said, pretty nice, print boarding passes within twenty four hours of flight.

I'm just going to give the stuff to the person at the counter, and make them give me my boarding pass this time(long story) the last time I took a flight without having a ticket in hand before stepping into the airport it took an hour for them to find my ticket, I have a very, very common name -.-

anyone know anything about:
US AIRWAYS, US 2520
Operated by US AIRWAYS EXPRESS-PSA AIRLINES ?

Thanks for the info. I've done this all before, but for some reason, when traveling alone, everything seems more scary and difficult, lol!....or maybe it's just me.
