Default Gah... I'm tired of waiting, so I'm going to do it myself!

Ok, I've decided that I'm not going to wait for the 2007 greddy kit, because we all know it could take MANY, MANY months to come out...

As we all know, I will need to use a different MAF pipe than the one greddy gives out. However, I am not about to spend $300 on an injen intake just to grab the MAF pipe from that...

My other options are to fab my own (may be a strong possibility) or to get one from dezod... HOWEVER, that guy who posted his 07 tubo here had a disgusting MAF adapeer on his dezod kit... so I can only conclude that dezod is still having problems with their MAF pipes (the machine shop screwed up their order)...

What do you guys suggest if the best route for me? I could get it machined for relatively cheap, but the problem is I wouldn't know the dimensions (ie how high to place the maf sensor from the rim of the pipe... should the inlet be in the center of the air stream?

thank you!

Our machine shop goofed big time on that flange, but he is taking care of it and us now. So sit tight, and in 2 weeks or so I should have 50-100 ready to roll. ;)

is it really that easy to just wire it up like that?

soo if i were to do it, i could use a 06 greddy kit, 07maf adapter and have a shop tune it, and i would be good to go?

blackonblack - that's pretty much right... the ecu is a little different wiring wise, so it's best to look up what the wires are for the 07 ecu, but everything else is good to go!!!

also, is your tC automatic?

ECU from 05-06 to 07 it utterly different. Wiring is nothing alike.

umm... its still pretty much the same thing though... find the rpm wire, splice into that for the emanage... find the injector wires, splice, timing wire, splice...

the wires might not be in the same places, but it's the same concept, right?

You should run ours instead!

hehe, i know, you guys are great!it's just that the price difference is so much that I can't afford NOT to go with greddy (plus their manifold is sooo sexy )

but I still hope to get the awesome help you've always provided me before even when I have my greddy kit

expect a PM next week! thanks so much
