View Full Version : New xB owner...hi!
YORCHI 11-29-2006, 02:07 AM Hey yall...the name's George
my wife and I are expecting our first baby girl in January, so my wife wanted a more roomier car than her 04 Civic coupe...
she loves the xB's so we went out and test drove them...she loved them so much and I was really impressed by the roomyness of them that we ended up getting it...
so yeah...
my car's an 03 Mach 1 Mustang that I've modded a bit and race alot...
I would like to do some minor mods to her car, just to get her a little more uniqueness to it...so hope yall don't mind some annoying newb questions
looks like a good site so far...so I look forward to post whoring it up with you guys (and gals) in the future
ProshopXB 11-29-2006, 02:29 AM Welcome to the Life... and congrats on the baby and the new car.. If you have questions please ask.. but a word of advice.. so you dont get somone jumping down your throat about a question.. do a search first.. But we are always glad to help.. Got any ideas of what you are going to do to your wifes car to make it more uniquie?
evosky 11-29-2006, 02:29 AM whoo, welcome to the community, George.
and congrats on the baby girl.
i suggest browsing around the tech HOW-TO's a lot to get ideas of what kinds of stuff people do inexpensively.
debadge is in order. and so is the cabin air filter insert.
anyway, have fun modding!
w3paint_xA_xB 11-29-2006, 02:33 AM welcome to our huge family
keg79 11-29-2006, 02:35 AM welcome aboard........and enjoy the box.
YORCHI 11-29-2006, 03:02 AM I'm pretty modest when it comes to modding, so we won't be doing anything major...it's not like it's a performance car and it won't be used for that so no performance mods in mind
she wants to add a wing...nothing too ricey as I am deathly against rice =(
and then some nice rims and limo tint all around...I suggested to lower it, but the streets around where we live would wreak havoc on the suspension and a careless turn could end up scraping or worse...and it's her car so I'd rather not
evosky 11-29-2006, 03:52 AM i actually would suggest some naturally aspirated performance mods on the box. it seriously helps the engine breathe a lot better and makes it a bit peppier for daily driving. doesn't feel like it's bogging down.
for a wing, OEM isn't too shabby. bBist's wings are also very good, and they have a more aggressive feel to them.
Chiguy_2002 11-29-2006, 05:17 PM Welcome! Lots of good information on this site. I would say start with tint then wheels, then move on to other things. That would add a lot to the look of the xB.
Driver_Lost 11-29-2006, 05:27 PM Welcome George
But if you're going to talk this way I look forward to post whoring it up with you guys (and gals) in the future
You're going to have to go to the SciKOtiCs page
stew32 11-30-2006, 01:31 AM Since it's the baby's ride, I'd say replace the rear shocks with Monroe to soften it up a little. And put in either a real or homemade pollen filter.
YORCHI 12-01-2006, 05:41 AM I don't wanna do performance mods at all cause it's no where near a performance car...
so they'll all be show mods for the most part...better shocks are a good idea, thank for that
RTon20s 12-01-2006, 07:05 AM Welcome to the forums George.
My recommendations...
Tanabe DF210 2" lowering springs with Monroe shocks from a 2000 Echo. The drop is just right and it will ride better than stock.
And if you are looking for a super subtle wing check out the Garson DAD wing for the JDM bB. Probably the only wing I would ever consider, and I absolutely HATE wings. Pretty expensive at $330 though.

Congrats, I bought my XB about 5 months before we had our first baby girl as well. I needed a four door to transport the little one and this was a perfect fit. Style, roominess and great price. I miss my 85 el camino, but this is more fun to drive.
Robot_Box 12-02-2006, 07:09 AM welcome...con grats...im also new....this site has a lot of usefull info....read on and post up
