Default Staggered Rims??

I am not sure if this goes in this section or in suspension... but anyways...

I am thinking of getting staggered sized rims for the tC... obviously its mostly for looks, as you can get a much deeper lipe with wider rims. My question is, If i were to go with a 18x9.5 rim in the rear... what kind of offset should it be? and will there be any issues if i was to only have stock struts with H-tech springs? I know that with coilovers you have obviousl smaller perches.

Any help would be appreciated.

if i were you.. i would go with a +30 or somewhere around there.

but then again, their is no reason to go with that wide of a rim, not usre if you ahve seen them or not..

AXIS wheels makes these wheels called the "WIDETRAK" and they are 18x8 and have a huge lip.

I have seen them... i like them... but i think i'll be going with a 5 spoke rim... something kinda, i know this is going to sound weird, elegant... i don't want something to be too "boi ricer". Not to imply that rims are good... but at i'm kinda tring to get something that isn't too flashy

P.S.

The reason i said 9.5 wide is car Sport Max 962 have a weird anomoly in there rim line up....

If you get a 18x7.5 rim.. it has a 2.5 inch lip... you would think that a 18.8.5 would be the next step for the rear, but the 8.5 wide rims have only a 2 inch lip. I would have to bump up to a 18x9.5 rim since it comes with a 3.25 lip

To be honest, putting staggered wheels like that doesn't even look remotely nice especially when the body of your car doesn't support it..

Coming from someone WITH staggered rims, i'd say if your going to go 18x9.5 then 35 would be the perfect offset to be flush with the body...18x9 with a 35 offset and it think its perfect, as far as your drop, you should be fine with H-techs, i'm on Hotchkis and im fine, BUT i do RUB when i carry passangers or heavy cargo in the rear. If you have other questions PM me
