Default Proper before/after pics of TRD springs on tC

I've seen a lot of before/after shots in my life - and they always made me mad - the angle would be different, the light would be different, hell, the place would be different. So I thought I'd try my best and make it right

http://zoltiz.com/cars/tc/springs/

Watcha think?

P.S. It was a crazy evening - started at 7:30, finished around 2am, but had the springs, front tie bar, and rear sway bar in, almost with no problems. Me happy

Those are the exact pics I wanted to see. I also was tired of weird ___ angles that you couldn't see the car.

It helped me make my decision.

No springs for me.

Although I think it looks good, just not enough change and where I live I can't drop my car that far.

That is a respectable drop. Also, by the way your car looks very nice with the tint.

I couldn't agree with you more! Great job on the pics.

I think the drop looks great. I will probably do the same to mine... when I get my tC that is. Are those TRD springs?

oops, just went back and looked at the pics again, it says TRD at the very top

I have a bunch of pics before the drop. Tint is 15% Llumar, same as several manufacturers use stock on SUVs.

http://zoltiz.com/photos/tc2 - ignore the funny looking dude in the pics, it's me.

My buddy cleaned up one of the photos, made it into something like a walpaper: http://zoltiz.com/cars/tc/files/scion-wp.jpg

I am assuming you did the install yourself....did you do an alignment/camber adj. afterward?

even though it looks good, IMO you should rethink that price, try other dealers in your area if possible.

Did it today - toe was off, the rest was cool. but I would still strongly recommend doing the alignment, because it would eat stock potenzas in no time. Plus it's always cool to drive a fully functional car

Yes, please look for a better price... Springs are $160 or so shipped, and dealer install should be no more than $300... Worst case tell them that you will strip the interior yourself - it's not hard to do and makes sense to start learning your car.

I have all the necessary install manuals right here:
http://zoltiz.com/cars/tc/files

it even has alignment specs and how-to for removal of the interior to get to the rear struts.

Just forget TRD springs and shocks altogether. I'm gonna buy some Tien or Ground Control coil overs when they come out. It'll probably be $500 more but I think it's worth the great suspension improvement.

not enough change? do you mean it doesn't drop far enough? but at the same time you can't drop your car anyway...? :?:

also, good luck with the coilovers ;) i wanted to install TEIN coilovers for my last car, but never got a chance... hope you're planning to track that car! it's a utter waste to get coilovers without tracking the car.

yo im the one who helped him with the install. It def looks a LOT better. seeing it in person too.

i'd recommend it to anyone really. the drop isnt alot where you'd be worried about your undercarriage, but it appears to help alot in handling.

Great pic's zoltiz , if you had to do the spring install again how long do you think it would take you . Just wondering I have a lot of customers asking how long it would take for them to do the spring install rather than take it to a shop. :D
