Make sure you check the sellers feedback. I have never had a problem on ebay but I only buy from people who have really good feedback.

try to look for at least 98%+

again, try searching for a local shop that carries them... might be a little bit more, but you get that peace of mind that its legit and it will work. and if anything happens you can go back.

I bought both my Alpien Type Rs on ebay, and they were fine. Ebay is usually a very good tool for shopping, you just have to do your research, be careful who you buy from, and when in doubt, ask the seller, they should be knowledgeable about what their selling. A lot of times theres audio stores on ebay, you might be better off through them. Another good website which I found had good prices is sonicelectronix.com

If your looking for audio wiring on ebay, check out this guy:

I don't personally know this guy, but I just bought all the wiring for my car from him and it all came in perfect condition and fast too.

^^^ well, they will... but if you need warranty work you're gonna get charged the fee for re-serializing the product...

That being said, I ran JL components bought off ebay for about a year and they did just fine!

I bought JL Audio speakers and an amp off ebay, the speakers are great. The amp though, thats another story. I got a 300/4 off Indoaudio, it works fine until you turn on the hi cross over for the front speakers. When that happens it will occassionally cause the speakers to pop or crackle once every few minutes. I tried to have it returned since it was meant to be NIB, and all that. The guy with customer service said he'd get me a return authorization number but never did. In the meantime I've been using it and just have the crossover on the amp turned off. Dont get me wrong it sounds great, its just a pain cause I have to tweak my headunit everytime I disconnect the battery to compensate for not being able to turn on the crossover. So beware of ebay.
