THE_DON 12-04-2006, 04:11 PM :ponder: -THE DON undecided 12-04-2006, 07:54 PM More on the Auris: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/23/europeans-gets-first-look-at-toyota-auris/ iyzmi 12-04-2006, 10:10 PM I wouldn't be surprised, I've been suspecting the Auris to be the new xD for a while now. I think it's ok but I also think Scion could do better. My thoughts: Front - 4/5 Side - 3/5 Rear - Unsure Interior 6/5 !AWESOME! Can't wait to know for sure. pandaslayer 12-04-2006, 10:49 PM I like it. I might even trade my xB for it. iyzmi 12-05-2006, 03:20 AM Any idea of an approximate price? $14k? $15k? $16k? docjpv 12-05-2006, 03:25 AM :ponder: looks nice.. iyzmi 12-05-2006, 04:37 AM Dug up a few more real life pics on the AutoBlog Spanish site: http://spanish.autoblog.com/2006/10/23/oficial-toyota-auris/ I love the interior and the exterior is quickly growing on me. CXT 12-05-2006, 04:40 AM I just traded one of those in for my new RS4. Oh no wait that was a Mazda3 Hatch. XtCFast 12-05-2006, 04:47 AM i lovee the interior!!!! HoldFastHope 12-05-2006, 08:01 AM I think I like it but it looks a bit on the heavy side (from the real-world pictures)...Isn't the xD supposed to be whole NEW vehicle that isn't sold anywhere else? If so, this defeats any chance of us getting the Auris. SquallLHeart 12-05-2006, 08:16 AM perhaps a design with the auris in mind? or maybe the same platform... dunno.. we won't know until next year for sure. hotbox05 12-05-2006, 10:43 AM it is an all new vehicle. i'm pretty sure it's the auris just with the 1.8single vvti versus the auris's current best or 1.6 dual vvti. allthough the 1.6 dual vvti is probably just as good if not better than the single vvti 1.8 jct 12-05-2006, 11:46 PM looks like that "could" replace the yaris in a few years iyzmi 12-06-2006, 12:34 AM I think the Yaris will always be a hatchback/sedan model. I thought the Auris would be the new Corolla but I guess not. kdepew 12-06-2006, 01:43 AM It looks OK to me, but it doesn't look as unique as the current xA. I don't like the front. It has the "new" Toyota front look with the bump for the logo (the logo looks like an afterthought). The interior does look nice except the shifter seems like it is too far forward and too high. I think that is kind of like the Matrix is today. At any rate, I'm not impressed with it. It seems like a decent car, but not like something that would replace the xA. I wish the xA replacement would have been no bigger than the current xA, just with updated styling and maybe just enough increase in size to fit the 1.8L engine. This should have been a Yaris 5 door or a Toyota Corolla hatchback. its_ikon 12-06-2006, 03:26 AM i curious to see what a base model will look like. this one looks nice and looks like it could be a third or fourth car i could have. Bubble2Box 12-06-2006, 03:31 AM :ponder: UGH.... I woud hate for that to replace either the xA or xB. I'm glad we have both here now..... hotbox05 12-06-2006, 06:43 AM It looks OK to me, but it doesn't look as unique as the current xA. I don't like the front. Great selling car. chrischoi 12-12-2006, 01:03 AM it does look like a 4 door yaris liftback Thirty-Nine 12-12-2006, 03:36 PM I could live with that. THE_DON 12-12-2006, 03:39 PM I could live with that. Agreed. -THE DON auspiciousmind 12-12-2006, 05:31 PM It actually looks pretty darn good. iyzmi 12-12-2006, 09:19 PM EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW its front looks like damn yaris http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2006/10/front3_tcm317-499238_450.jpg .....and you all know how yaris did it on the market.....its just not a hot potato Actually the Yaris is doing very well on the market. 3 of my local dealers very rarely even have one on the lot, I've only seen one once. What makes you think they're selling bad? hotbox05 12-13-2006, 12:11 AM yeah the yaris is a WAY hot seller. ra24man 12-23-2006, 04:18 AM We had waiting lists during the summer on Yaris...they are a hot mover when we can get them iyzmi 12-23-2006, 04:22 AM If it wasn't so damn noisy with city driving I would've bought one, the dealer had the exact one I wanted on the lot too. Bubble2Box 12-23-2006, 04:51 AM I've seen a number of Yari (would that be the plural?) that I like. All 3-doors. The black, white, or red all look good. Tint makes it all betta, too. Don't care for the sedan really. Still, and I say this all the time.....give us a diesel. |
