View Full Version : Projector question
punkemoskaHXC 12-05-2006, 05:48 AM Are the TSX projectors that great? I mean, everyone seems to be using it. Besides it being "good," why choose those over other car's projectors?
My question is: what makes them so great?
Dakine 12-05-2006, 05:56 AM yes they are great. good size of light projection, no light leeaking and the cutoff is great. The price is also pretty subtle compared to other prokectors.
CatalepsicFox 12-05-2006, 05:57 AM Then you use it you will be amaze by the sharp cutoff and the wide projections the tsx is. But if you want something better get a S2000 it's similar in performance. There actually might be better ones... but these are the most popular. Japanese projectors have full enclosures meaning they can't leak like Bosch (BMW) projectors.
I have to admit I'm just learning about this stuff anyways. I always have to go back and refer to Maximus96 for reference. Here is a link http://conceptinmotion.numutant.net/forum20/viewtopic.php?t=308 of my project which is just starting. I'll try to document everything I do. Even my mistakes.
O5_TRD_tC 12-05-2006, 05:59 AM +1 for stanley projectors
Dakine 12-05-2006, 06:00 AM how dare u call it by its real name.
punkemoskaHXC 12-05-2006, 06:00 AM Yeah. Does Maximus still frequent the board? I know he sold his tC. Or something to that effect.
I'd like to know and see other projector pictures. Like the Bosch ones.
CatalepsicFox 12-05-2006, 06:01 AM ^^^ nah he doesn't I just still kept contact with him. Annoy the heck out of him. LOL Actually he is kinda active on HIDPlanet.
He upgraded to something more fitting to his family.
punkemoskaHXC 12-05-2006, 06:05 AM Family..pfft. Just kidding.
I'd like to give it try, but it's pretty darn scary. The most technical I got was changing the bulbs in the headlamps
CatalepsicFox 12-05-2006, 06:07 AM hehe icic. just make sure you have a spare headlights to use. Or someone's to borrow. Bc this project is going to take a while.
Dakine 12-05-2006, 06:09 AM Took me about 3 days just making sure it was lined up. Bump for extra spare headlights.
punkemoskaHXC 12-05-2006, 06:10 AM Haha..You're saying "spare headlights" to someone who pretty much never has more than 500 dollars.
Well, keep us updated on your projector retrofitting!
O5_TRD_tC 12-05-2006, 06:20 AM how dare u call it by its real name.

CatalepsicFox 12-05-2006, 06:24 AM Haha..You're saying "spare headlights" to someone who pretty much never has more than 500 dollars.
Well, keep us updated on your projector retrofitting!Well if you are lucky you can find someone that can sell those for 120 shipped... which is how much I gotten mines for.
Yanki01 12-05-2006, 12:27 PM i still havent found any headlights and i want to start already :(

i think their the 2nd best singe xenon projectors next to the s2k's. But those are alot harder to mess around with. You can find a good pair of TSX's for around $170.
JCharles 12-05-2006, 06:44 PM The new maxima projectors produce a pretty nice bluish purple color from a distince, has any one tried that projector yet?
Yanki01 12-05-2006, 11:10 PM its an OK projector? Too much blue output more than white than i would like.
davedavetC 12-05-2006, 11:16 PM i wnat the infinity projectors that are like 7 little projectors hehe. i think that would look cool...
punkemoskaHXC 12-06-2006, 03:45 AM I heard light output from that isn't the best, though. But I don't remember where I heard/read that from.
