SWF_05_tC 08-05-2004, 04:13 AM it's because TRD likes money and knows that people will pay for the TRD name.

The 19" wheels are RH Evolution GEO J5 wheels made only for TRD they are a little different than the aftremartet RH Evolution J5
If you bought the J5 aftermarket they sell online for $513.00 per wheel the Pirelli 225/35/19 sell for $224.00 at tire rack Total $2948.00 plus shipping
$2495.00 sounds expensive and it is , but for the type of wheel and tire you are getting it is not a bad buy.
The 18" pkg. for $1599.00 wheels are made by BBS they are good wheels but not in the same class as Racing Hart RH Evolution wheels
There are a lot of other options out there in a 19" for less money, but the quality is not the same, there is a difference We stock less expensive sets but but the finish and balance are nowhere near the quality of the RH Evolution . It all depends on what you want to have on your car.
If you want one of the best this is not a bad buy compare them with a equal quality set .

Well if they liked them, that is all that matters. just wondering if these wheels are forged or something?

NJ_05tC 08-05-2004, 06:18 PM What tire pressures are recommended on the 19" ones???
NJ_05tC 08-05-2004, 06:58 PM Just bought a set from Paul @ mcgeorgeparts.com...i've set a goal to work more overtime for this and next month until these cool TRD ones are paid off...work hard, drive right! :D
jblaze4lif 08-06-2004, 01:35 AM lucky ba$terd i want them rims
ima keep saving up for them and after winter when theres no more snow maybe ill buy them
RanmaP 08-06-2004, 01:59 AM Shows you they got money... *hehe*
absintheisfun 08-06-2004, 02:51 AM Do the TRD 19's rub with the lowering springs?
I've got the lowering springs, and the stock 17's...from the looks of the wheel well gap, I think it will be a tight fit for 18's.. . .let alone 19's!
I've heard the springs will settle about another 1/4 or 1/2 inch after a couple months. If thats the case, then I seriously doubt it. . .
But it would be nice to have the 19's!
Jdawg82 08-06-2004, 05:28 AM When you get a bigger size rim the tires sidewall is less. So basically a 19 inch rim and tire is actually the same exact diameter as a 17 inch rim and tire if you have the right tires mounted to them. You are basically getting more rim and less tire. The rims and tires are the exact same diameter granted you use the right size tire. If they werent then your speedometer and odometer would be off. So 19s should fit with the trd springs. However I would just go with 18s they dont dent as easy, the ride should be better due to more tire sidewall, and the tires are hella cheaper.
jblaze4lif 08-06-2004, 06:44 AM i wana get 19s ova 18s cause eveyone has 18s. And these 19s are so good looking

you must have some nice roads around your area then.

NJ_05tC 08-10-2004, 08:41 PM What tire pressures are recommended on the 19" ones???
Paul @ mcgeorgeparts.com just told me that they are 50 psi for both front and rear. I'll be receiving them very soon...i will post pics as soon as i have them installed. :D
RogerTTR 08-10-2004, 09:20 PM If you are comparing two wheels of the same build standard and quality, the bottom line is there are no where near the number of 19" wheels sold when compared to 18". When a manufacturer has to spread their tooling cost across a fewer number of potential sales, the price of each wheel sold is going to be higher.
mcgeorgeparts 08-11-2004, 01:21 AM I have a few set in stock now , both with tires and less tires . I will try and get a few more pic's posted on and off the tc . This is a top of the line set of 19" wheels. I have sold quite a few of the other top brands over the years for Mercedes Benz "we are a Toyota / Scion / Mercedes Benz dealer" I think TRD did well with this setup this has to be one of the best I have seen as far as quality . Looks awsome on the tc .
boostedscion 06-10-2005, 11:37 PM wow that is a lot
it's because TRD likes money and knows that people will pay for the TRD name.
Well, first off, not just TRD's 19" is more expensive than 18". Most other companies 19s are more expensive than 18".
The 18" pkg. for $1599.00 wheels are made by BBS they are good wheels but not in the same class as Racing Hart RH Evolution wheels.
They are made by BBS??? Thats not what i heard form here though, some ppl said they are made by a company called "Team Fusion" (I have personally seen these 18s at the dealership with "Team Fusion" center caps on, instead of TRD!
eujin 06-11-2005, 04:46 PM ^^ people can get centercaps made with whatever names they want and claim it to be theirs, imo thats shady
FSUnoles 07-08-2006, 02:32 AM anyone have them in 18's
