no, it does not come with tools or install instructions. you get what is pictured. Install is very easy as there are multiple tutorials on how to install a short shifter online and even on scion life...

just returning to leave feedback installation wasn't too hard if you have someone who knows what there doing...just make sure you have a dremel!!! as a for the short shifter goes...wonderful very impressed the shifter still is a little flimsy while the car is in gear but through the shift it's definetly shorter and the car feels a lot smoother best bang for the buck!!!

There are a couple pics that I found using the search...

I have the cc short shifter and they look exactly the same. My install went smooth shouldn't have any problems. But Mine didn't come with instructions. Look for a DYI on the forums thats what I did and eveything went smooth. Install took about 30 mins and I'm new to working on cars. ;)

i was reading through the tech article for the short shifter... where does the 4 purple disk actually go into from the megan ss? in the tech, it didn't show them installing any disk.

not a required part of install but they are cage risers.
