my freind has a 06 pw xb with the upgraded sterio and she cant get her ipod to work it still comes up on aux but it keeps asking for files??

anyone know what to do?

ps i did a search on the topic but got nothing to help me out

 

The only thing I can think of is maybe the files on her ipod are all the wrong format. I convert my songs to AAC for my ipod, so I know that one works fine.

 

Sure its the actual iPod HU? Has the rotary volume ****, not up/down buttons. And a dock connector cable-not a 1/8" stereo cable- on the center console. OK, had to ask!

Mine automatically connects and says "ipod connected" for an instant on the HU and "Scion" on the ipod's screen.

I had some issues with my 3G pod. My video and photo are fine. Try to update the ipod's firmware to the latest version.

MP3s and AACs should both play fine.
