Default It's Official...I'm a "xA Sell Out"

On November 29th, I decided to trade in my '06 Silver Streak xA for a '07 Classic Silver tC. I didn't think it through completely but I got offered $10 grand with 30,000+ miles and I gladly accepted. Then TFS offered to add my negitive amount onto the new loan and made the tC's payments around 400-ish. I didn't want to get rid of the xA due to the fact Toyota isn't making them anymore and it's good on gas. But deep down inside I always wanted a tC...because they are stylish and they have above average power compared to common 4 cyclinder cars. When I was waiting for the word from Toyota about the loan...me and the sales consultant was sitting in the Scion showroom and this old couple kept looking at the silver xA that was sitting there. I looked at my sales consultant and quietly said "See! That's one of the things I hate about the xA. More Grandmas are driving it than early 20's...." We laugh out loud.

I beat you to it. . . a few months ago I traded my '05 PW xA for an '07 CSM tC. . . YOU FRIGGIN COPYCAT! LOL, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the car.

I made a big long post comparing the two some time ago.

Now I'm wondering what Carmax is going to do with the xA??? I asked someone with their business department and she believes they are going to resell it on the lot...but I've been going onto Carmax's site and doing a used car search to see it; nothing yet? I should question my salesperson about it; I know she would know.

I'm just wondering how much of profit they are going to make off of it?

They are getting a brand new Silver Streak in...I bet they are going to place that one for sale first than my old one after.

Often times these dealers will sell used cars to wholesale dealers. It depends on the dealer.

Yesterday, I had to go back to the dealership to install my remote starter that I ordered when buying the tC.

So when I'm driving through the entrance; I saw my old xA for sale with the stubby silver antenna. I walked over there when I had to wait I decided to walk over to it. Then I saw they are selling it for 12,900-ish. They took out some of my small dents and my rock chips with touch up paint. Then they also fixed my plastic undercarriage that almost got ripped off. I didn't get emotional or anything like that except the fact I love the tC more. But it still felt odd that I was standing next to a car that isn't mine anymore.

See...

I can't say the same. . .

I very much so miss my xA. I wouldn't give up my tC either, but it really is a different kind of animal. I like them for completely different reasons.

I drove a tC for the first time last weekend. I was at a party and the driveway was like Scion City...xB, xA and 2 tC's. My box wasn't even there. But I got to drive this one girl's07 tC. That thing does seem to have alot of power, even tho this one was an auto. But still, I love the little xA. Sorry to see you traded.

Ha! I went the other way, kind of. Traded in the tC for a different car. Then a year later added an xA to the stables

I use...
Meguiar’s NXT Generation Tech Wax Paste

It's pretty good when you hand buff. I don't know how good it is when you use a wax buffer. It's about 15 bucks per a can.

In this pic, I actually used it about three weeks ago and it still had kept the shine.
