Default Changed to sparco seats now I have an airbag light?

I took out my factory scion tc seats and disconnected the factory airbag wiring under the seats. But when I started the car I now have an airbag light. Is there any way to bybass the circuit so it wont run a code? I also forgot to mention my car also has the side curtain airbag option also. I also relize that the airbags are in the seats and that is why the light is on. But I am swapping to racing seats and dont mind loosing the airbags. Can anyone help me fix this problem? How does the computer know the airbag is gone. Do I need to jump the circuit at the connector with the right value resistor? Any Answers? Help!!!!!!!!!

When you did that the computer lost the connection to sensor in the seats.

I understand I lost the signal but can I repair the circuit without putting my stock seats back in?

This is just a complete guess on my part, but what I would try and do is find out what it would take to get that sensor into the bottom section of the seat. I dont know what seat youve got, but back when I still hade my poll-position Recaros I could dissasemble the seat as I needed.

The other way you could do it is find out what the ohm load on the sensor is with someone sitting in the seat (that way the airbag is always active) so incase you do get into an accident the airbag will deploy. If you just stick something in the connector just to turn the light off, you probably wont have an airbag. Thats a situation I dont want to get into.

Thats just what I could come up with off the top of my head.

You can take the seats to an interior shop and have the sensor removed and reinstalled into the new seat.
