Default New and What to to?

I am interested in a 2006 scion xb but I have read that there will no longer be a Xb's or Xa's, Would it be wise to still buy an XB? Will parts become less avalible such as aftermarket and non aftermarket parts due to the fact that they no longer produce these vehicles?
Thanks for the help

Parts should still be readily available. Kinda like Jeep. You can find parts for any Jeep ever made. Provided the demand keeps up on Scions then parts locations shouldn't be a problem.

plus keep in mind that the engine isn't JUST for the xA and xB, it's also for echo, (and I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) the yaris (1.5L I4). So I don't think it's something to worry about

Any vehicle that is redesigned faces the same issues. Will the old sheet metal and such be available? At 1st the press said the xA and xB are gone. Now it seems they say it is a redesign. Which is the truth will not be known for a good while.

I would think the bB is not too far off the xB and it is still being made. So parts should not be an issue.

Granted, if you decide to go with bB parts, keep in mind that there will have to be some modifications done for it to fit correctly on the xB. Slight design differences. Otherwise, they work just as well.

Parts availabilty shouldnt be an issue for YEARS and maybe not even then. Manufacturers are supposed to keep parts avaiable for US marketed cars for at least 9 years or so...and almost all do that or more. If you want a current generation Xb you should go get it while you can, I did and I am very happy with it.

I agree with Ted. Get one of the original xBs while you still can. Parts and mods for them will continue to be released for many years to come. Nothing like the first one of it's kind. Everything else that follows will never be the same, just different.

Well I got a 2006 Blue onyx pearl Scion XB, but my only gripe is the fact that the paint has a ton of swirl marks. The last owner must have not known how to was a car properly. But I did get the car for 12,900 with 15K on it! Other than that I love the car, I call it my "Pimp Criuser" Ha Ha. Now its time to start to mod, well after Xmas. I already have Motegi MRM 17" rims that I was going to put on my Chevy but I am glad I never did. I also have a JVC kd-lh910 head unit from my chevy that I plan to reinstall into my XB. Im sure I will have a ton of questions when it comes to mods so you will hear from me.
