hey guys im wondering if a 18X8 wheel with a +42 offset will fit the scion w/o rubbing..i know ive seen posts bout 18X7.5 +42 fit, but i dont know how much it clears by and how much room i have left with a 18X8. I'm also going to be running a 215/40R18 or 225/40R18....what do you guys think? thanks in advance

Most likely will not fit. It *might*.... but the fact that it might not should dissuade you from buying them. Unless you can test fit the wheels in person to determine 100% for sure whether they'll fit or not, I'd say avoid that wheel fitment.

I don't think a 215 on a 8in wide would work. 225 would be min I would do if anything a 225.

Def will not fit. You will get rubbing on the inner part of the wheel.

Get some spacers and it will work.

thanks everyone for the replies, and yes i read that wheel faq before i asked this question but the exact setup im asking about isnt listed, so that really doesnt help. also does anyone know what tire size adrian is running on his scion? 215/35R19? i know he has the maxis setup from axis wheels now and was just wondering what hes runnin and his clearance on the wheel wells. I'm thinking of going 19 on my scion also...thanks

Does anybody know if this 18" x 8" with 225/40/18 tires works with 35 mm offset or spacers to a custom offset?

Correct me if I am Wrong, but isn't a 35 mm spacer quite big? How safe is a spacer of that size?

spacers to drop the offset to 35
