Default Getting Another tC!!!

Currently have an RS2 tC. I had to get it repainted because someone keyed the entire car so I am looking to buy a regular tC supercharged. Should come out to the same price as I'm currently paying. I want to make sure I don't get ripped a new one when I trade my old baby in.

I believe I should be able to purchase a 2-10 mile 2006 tC at invoice price as the 07 models are out now. Can someone confirm this? If so, that means the car would be about $15,485.

How much is invoice price for a plain 06 tC with the only option being an automatic transmission?

Also, what is MSRP for the TRD Supercharger installed?

Thanks.

id say you might wanna just repaint the RS2... since there are from heere on out a limited number of tCs available... having the RS2 later down the line will retain its value. so i jsut say repaint it the RS2Blue

Just do a custom 2 tone color to cover up the scratches.

If you do get a new 2007 tC, you may have a while to wait for the supercharger to come out.

yea... i know a few dealaers with rs2 tc's that have less than 10 miles on em. most are selling em at invoice and my payoff's pretty low so i technically wouldn't be 'upside-down'.

Isn't the deal w/ scion "no hassle" pricing? I havent heard of anyone getting a new tC for anything other than msrp. I dont think they are going to buy the idea of getting the 06s off of the lot... because they certainly arent having any difficulty selling them at retail price. Case in point: everyone on these forums

There's a dealership by me who had a bunch of 06s when the 07s came out and they eventually lowered the price by $800 i believe.

I agree, why get a tC and supercharge it and still only put out about 200fwhp and have your gas mileage just go down hill, plus the fact that you'd be paying alot more. Getting a Civic Si gets you a better car overall, you get about 200hp and awesome gas mileage from a N/A 4cylinder. Having a 6speed manual and a Limited Slip Differential doesn't hurt either. I'm not hating on the tC, but for the money you want to spend, there are better options.

Plus, the Civic Si will have better aftermarket support as far as mods that add significant power.

And as far as the tC looking better than a new Si, that's a toss up. They both look hott!

The total cost I paid for my new 07 tC was about $19,000. That's with the spoiler and extended warranty and GAP insurance. The sticker price was about $16,500. But like everyone else is saying, keep the RS2.

heh, you must have some good dealerships around your area. Granted, I DID get mine for msrp, but the first dealership I went to tried to rip me off by about $5000!

My area only had one 06 and I snagged it up at 16k. When I was searching I didn't see anything in the low 15's. Good luck on your search, but i would just repaint the RS2 if I was in your situation.

i agree with some of these guys u got a rare car u should try to get it fixed but if it has to come down between a supercharged tc and a civic si the tc will walk on it any day your mileage will NOT go down hill i drive mostly on the highway n get 33 mpg the civic does have more aftermarket support but then u loose ur warranty once something goes wrong the SC tc keeps its warranty n u dont have to rev to the sky to get good power out of it. if u had to change the car my best choice would be cobalt ss supercharged looks good, plenty of power and if u want more chevrolet sells plenty of mods to make it a really really formidable car keeping your warranty. hope that helps bro

If you don't even want to fix the RS2.0 then I think you don't giva____ about the tC. Get another car. It's only a paint problem and insurance would fix it. All you will lose is the deposit.
