i just installed the TRD rear swaya with my TEIN basics.. damn i definetly feel a difference.. body roll was minizmed to a big degree.. i wonder how harsh the ride would have been with hotchkis sways... installation took about 30mins..one question.. i didnt torque the bolts and nuts.. i just hand tightened it.. any precautions i need to worry about

Well, on the sways (And many bolts that are harder to get a tq wrench on to properly tq) I tigthen to what feels like the right amount. But, I have turned wrenches enough that I can get it pretty durned close :P Sometimes you have to just tighten with a wrench. If you cant get a tq wrench on the bolt and pull correctly on it, then the results wont be correct anyway.

As far as the hotchkis sways, you really would want to get the set if you bought them. The rear is stiff enough that you would probably be flirting with harsh oversteer if you didnt do both sways. The front requires a lot more work to install than the rear, and I know a lot of people have had rubbing issues (but may have gotten that resolved by now). The ride would be harsher since they are stiffer sways than the trd, meaning less independence in the suspension.

I have the TRD springs and TRD rear sway on track setting and really like it. Not too much harsher and does a good job of keeping the car flatter in the corners.

Enjoy!

yea i woulda have gotten the hotchkis front/rear bars if i purchased it, but i didnt want to go through the hassle of installing the front swaybar.. i just noticed.. there's a lot of squeaking in the rear since i installed the swaybar.. and its not the hatchrattle..

Did you use the lubricant that came with the sways? You use it to lubricate the bushings so the sway doesnt squeak

Kind in mind I live in Detroit. Prolly some of the worst roads in the US. SO the Hotchkis sway were alittle rough. To the pont where my kidneys hurt after a 30 minute trip. Plus the front sway is a nightmare. I got use to installing it cause I redid it like 3 times trying to get it to stop rubbing. If they put a stoper on the front sway to keep it from moving side to side like the rear then I might buy them again.....maybe.
