Under hood lights
errrr i was thinking the led flex strips. waterproof already unlike the cathodes.
i havent had problems with them burning out thus far, and they've been in for a good couple of months now. A few of the strips are within 6" of the header, and i havent had any problems.

oznium sells switch panel sized switches on their site. IIRC home depot sells the same thing, but i dont remember what the part # or what they're called for that matter.
I personally run the black oval rocker switches with a blue led that turns on when the switch is on. I got them from autozone. I like the illuminated switches better because i doesnt let me forget that something is on (which is important because all my lights are blue, which is a big no no with the po po's!). I had to drill a 1/2" hole into the switch panel blanks to mount them. the Oz switches are complete replacements, so no drilling required.

how to install the switch? that's easy....
positive wire comes in from a power source (battery, add a circuit, pre-exisiting circuit you tap from the car) and plugs onto the "IN" prong on the switch. Then take another wire and attach it to the "OUT" prong and this then goes to your lights.
pretty easy

one tied to the abs lines on the firewall, one next to the battery attached to the fender, one in front of the coolant tank attached to the fender, blue killerglass radiator hose, 2 below the radiator shining the lower portion of the header.
5 strips and a killerglass
