OK, 300+ drunk people saw the new xD, but since no cameras were allowed there is no photographic evidence of the car. Lets see some sketches of any particular details that you remember.

Yeah, that crappy drawing above is mine. I figured I'd toss in what I remember so others can build on it. I remember studying the new xB too, but it looked a lot like the T2B and I can't remember in what ways it WASN'T like the T2B.

I don't want to steal anyone's ideas, but I overheard that the xD looks a lot like a mix between a Matrix and Dodge Caliber... I thought that was a spot on observation at the time.

That has to be one of the best methods of pre-revealing a car to a group. Intoxicate first then reveal! I wonder if that will work for my project presentation tomorrow at school....

I like the fold up handles, esp if they are like the Prius ones, on dampers, so they glide into position, instead of SLAPing when you let go.

Al I remember is that the new xB looked like the xB and tC had some incestuous relations, but the result was Rowrrrr... I licked the damn thing.

The xD on the other hand... I dunno... was too busy licking the xB

Based on the descriptions it sounds like the xD is based off the Toyota Auris platform but with its own distinct body design.

once i get a scanner i will post up what this thing looks like but center console is alittle off theres nothing under the a/c heat controls it just goes straight back.... well just wait ... i spent like 20min staring at this car so i could do this ... lol

Do not forget to sketch the 2,4L tc engine, tc 4 wheel disk brakes, 5 lug bolt pattern.... I saw the mechanical, most just see the visual *LOL* And the rims were volk te37's from memory.. .around 19"... mabey 18's...

looks like the sketch of a love child between the auris tc and the urban cruiser concept there has to be someone here with some skills and a good memory hopefully it doesnt look too much like the urban cruiser.

Next i will do the dash on an angle so you can kinda see how it looks more 3d like and then i will do the outside design... frontal view... back view ... and then door panel

but let me know what you guys think if i got it right or wrong... my mind could use some refreshing alittle we all need to pitch in to get it perfict

I think you pretty much nailed the dash, and I am not sure if I noted this before but the gauges are backlit a brilliant white, looks great.

WOW, your VERY artistic! I've heard that the shifter is at a higher level like below the AC controls. Kinda like on the Matrix. Is that not true? Also, does the steering wheel actually look like that (with the cutout below the emblem)?

The xD has the shifter on the floor, the xB has it in the center console, like the Element:

I saw a Honda in Italy with the shifter HIGH on the dash, like the top of the AC on the Matrix, or higher, it was almost a year ago (to the day) so I don't remember exactly. But I remember it being REALLY high.

All from memory i wish i got a picture of it....

the tac i believe is on the right and the left is the fuel gauges sorry the seat head got in the way i just wanted to make it as realistic as possible...

the xD has the same shifter console as the xA and the xB does have it just like the matrix.... i will post a pic of the body once i finalize the drawing....

Too bad, my wife drives an Element. Although it looks weird at first, it just makes sense and is damn comfortable. I was hoping for a dash set up like the Auris. The shifter placement and placement of the E-brake on it is sweet.Where is the E-brake on the Element?

The E-brake on the Element is down between the seats, I meant to say that the matrix like shifter up top is comfortable to use. It's nice to see that the xB2 will have this feature, too bad the xD won't though.

What happened to the thread with the xeroxed fax from Scion corporate to the dealers? I remember seeing it at least sometime before Miami. Sounds like the pics that on there were pretty correct after all. Did it get deleted?

The side looks the same except for the crease in the door they moved above the door handles while on the current xA it's below them. That does match the current descriptions though... Didn't they say the xD was supposed to be for the USA only?

nope...the xB2 will be USA only...the xD was never intended to be a USA model only.

that pic is very close to what the xD will be...

as in the grill, the headlights, (maybe the leeding edge of the hood too) and the emblems are wrong...

and the tails will be different, but you can't see them well in this pic to really tell....

sorry guys very busy with the holiday i will post a pic up by new years of the sketch of the xD exterior .... head lights are about right on this one and kinda got the window thing down but the front end is way better than that... that thing post above should have never been built in my opinion very ugly... the xd is beautiful...

the hood lays flatter then slopes down ...

From what the Miami Winners have said, it's not the Auris, or not even close to the Auris. I was hoping for the Auris as well, I especially like the interior but they've already described the xD as different inside and out from the Auris.

I will stick with the Miami attendees. 5-Axis body kit aside, if it were an Auris with a body kit, I would think they would at least still recognize it as an Auris. The people who attended stated it's definitely not an Auris. They did say this is a very close resemblance though:

Public will have access to everything on Feb. 9th. First day of Chicago Auto Show. Press will have access the 8th I think. More n likely Scion will have an online link to the unveiling, similar to when the originals came out a couple years ago.
