This past wednesday I wrecked my tC. I was the owner of a S/C tC. I'd like you guys that have boosted cars to be careful when driving. The road was wet and I lost control around a pretty serious turn, went strait into a curb, went airborne and landed on my roof over 40 feet from where I launched. When I post pictures you can see what can happen when your driving, Im not going to tell you how fast I was going but assume the worst. Move it if youd like.

So the car performed well in the crash? I'm continuously amazed at how well this car crashes. Did you have side airbag option?

did you know your tc has a built in system that monitors how fast you were going, rpm position, seat belt and seat position. yup it will all be given to the insurance or police if requested by them, if i knew this when i bought i wouldn't be in this forum.

 

Many cars have this. It usually gets added when an all new model comes out so pretty much every year that goes by the harder it gets to buy new cars without some kind of recording device.

 

I know they can use this system to find out who's at fault in a collision. So it's another tool if you ge hit by an a-hole who keeps claiming its not his fault when it really is.

I said it as a joke... but if you want to nit pick... the data has to be stored on a piece of electronics (flash ROM, or otherwise). If it's writeable, it's eraseable.

I just have to say how commendable it is for you to come on this forum, admit your mistake, and share it with us so we can all learn from it.

It takes a pretty big person to do so, and you have obviously learned a great deal from this already.

Glad you are ok. Cars can be replaced, people can't. Have a great holiday and keep your chin up. We all make mistakes, the only true mistake is not learning from it.
