View Full Version : What do the door sills look like on a Silver Streak Mica tC?
Dana278 08-09-2004, 01:17 AM I posted a pic request in the Photo Booth but no one has responded. So now I'm hoping someone could just tell me what they look like. I'm afraid the silver door sills on the silver car will be too much. But then again, anything has to look better than the black plastic. Opinions?

I saw those, they look nice. Thanks. :)
doubledown 08-09-2004, 02:23 PM I honestly think they would look nice on any color. I'm hoping to get them eventually for my Flint Mica.
I say go for it.
IlltC 08-09-2004, 02:47 PM I would like to get them for my Flint as well, does anyone know if there any aftermarket ones for cheaper that are just plain aluminum or chrome, I don't NEED it to say tC on it.

I'm sure eventually they will come out with them also. I'm really not into EVERYTHING saying Scion or tC on it. Although, this is not really seen by anyone unless you open your door. However, these are only about $70 shipped from partznet.com Not sure how much cheaper aftermarket ones will be.....
doubledown 08-10-2004, 01:54 PM Just a head's up. I think mcgeorgeparts.com beats partznet.com shipping by about $2. I just ordered my door sills from mcgeorgeparts.com. Hopefully they ship soon.
I think they were $71 shipped
Dana278 08-10-2004, 03:39 PM Cool, thanks. Yeah, I priced out both door sills, but I decided that I'm going to go with McGeorge because they also have the chrome license plate frame I'd like to get. Their shipping is very reasonable. I don't think I saw the frame at partznet.
doubledown 08-10-2004, 03:52 PM Cool, those are some EXPENSIVE license plate frames though....$30. You can get them on EBAY for about $10 or less. No sure of the quality though.
Dana278 08-10-2004, 04:20 PM Yeah, they are a bit expensive, especially since they don't even say Scion on them. I've spent about $30 before for Honda frames, and even they started to tarnish after a few years.
Any chance my dealer will throw one in for free? I'll give it a shot and ask tomorrow. Maybe a dash mat? LOL THOSE are ridiculously expensive at my dealer. I think they are charging $45 for one.
doubledown 08-10-2004, 05:41 PM Dealer throw in one for Free
Maybe if you are lucky. I got nothing free with mine. I actualyl had to go back and get my FREE tank of gas they forgot, but I did get it.
I would look around on the frames. I'm trying to find a brushed chrome one to match the look of the car, since there is not much Shiny chrome on a tC.
I'm tempted to just get one off of ebay, but I actually DON'T want mine to say Scion or tC on it. I just want a plain/generic license plate frame.
*EDIT*
I just got a shipping confirmation from McGeorgeparts.com. I just ordered them this morning, expected by 12 August. Two day turnaround....wow, definetely order from there again. Although, partznet.com had a fast turnaround also according to my parents who ordered my parts for my b-day.
Dana278 08-10-2004, 11:45 PM LOL Yeah, I'm definitely not expecting anything for free, but it'll be nice if I do get something. Honda threw in a dash mat for free a few years ago after I BEGGED.
I also want a plain license plate frame. I think the "tC" ones will be logo overkill on the back of the car. The ones I see on Ebay all say tC on them. I'll just get it from McGeorge with they money I'm saving ordering the door sills online. Sounds good about the fast turnaround. I haven't heard a single bad thing about McGeorge here, so I feel good about ordering through them.
