shift knob and pedals
sorry. Please don't bash me for posting this.
I just bought a megan racing/cc short shifter and I wanted to get **** for it along with pedals. I had looked in advance auto parts and saw **** and pedal kits but I dont know if they will clip on properly and provide beter grip. I also wanted a weighted shift *** and did not want to spend alot of money. any Ideas?
edit-oh yea I like to double clutch and downshift and the stock petals are small and are spaced farther away so it is more dificult.

I dont want to sound like an a$$ but you are only 16 and just got your license. I dont recommend you doing heel toe action on public street with all the distractions you already have (Ipod, cell phone, passengers).
haha i love these posts where we young tC drivers get reprimanded. sheesh. theonespeed12, i have OBX racing pedals installed. i dunno if theyre worth it for the price the dealers charge, but i got mine for free. i like them. nice grip and nice size.
p.s.- im assuming hes talking about double clutching while downshifting substantially... aka to sort of smooth out the synchro action. just a thought...

Nothing wrong with double clutching, just don't go around thinking you should be double clutching because otherwise you're granny shifting
Heel toe can be useful on the street. I wish I was a bit more proficient at it so that I could downshift before turns more comfortably (I don't like revving high near houses at night, its just inconsiderate).
The OBX pedals are great, btw. There are probably better pedals out there (like maybe Razos) but I think the OBX does well. It's really more of an aesthetic upgrade, but it does have a nice feel too. Doesn't make a difference as far as heel-toe ease - it's going to be the same as stock (not that hard).

heel toeing i see where you're coming from. i think i found that the gas pedal was in farther and closer than it should be. i mean why not heel toe when taking a turn... i mean don't fly around it. but a moderate speed like 10 or something... is safe...

The other time I think it is safe to do this would be if you are on an overpass from highway to highway (4 leaves clovers), you are on 5th let the gas go and slow down as necessary (or just let it roll), when you are at the speed you think is save to turn (probably a 35 mph rated turn so probably you can go 50) then you do the heel toe action and match the revolution of 3rd gear and switch it to 3rd at the same time.
i use a greddy weighted shift ****... the thing is heavy as heck!
i got it here- http://www.fasterthanthem.com/Greddy...pr-327466.html

You can heel-toe anytime, but obviously its only useful in situations where you have to both brake and downshift for a corner/turn. You shouldn't be on anything except the gas with both hands on the wheel for a turn? Downshifts should be completed before the turn and clutch engaged through the corner/turn.
Maybe I misunderstood what you posted.
