Aight so it was like 100 deg... and I hit a best 16.8 in Sac CA Raceway.

I have a mt hot lava xB... All stock not stripped.

I also have 18' rims and tein s-tech springs.

Kind of wondering what some other have hit.

wow that is actually pretty fast! My Xb has a turbo on it and i am hoping for mid 15's! I will find out times in a couple months. All i know is that my 0-60 time is sub 7.5 seconds.

Wow, not too shabby for a AT.

I ran a 15.98 @ 94mph at Sac Raceway..

I live in EG, so I frequent the Weds. Night runs...

Haven't been there in a few weeks now, been injured. But hopefully soon I can run again after having installed new spark plugs, spark plug wires, injectors, ground wires, and minor ecu mods done by my local shop. I put down a baseline of 94whp and 91lbs tq, back when I first got my car, now I pulled 118.3whp and 117lbs tq.

Other mods I have done are AEM intake with K&N Typhoon filter, TRD JDM header (kinda used and rusted, but JDM DOOD!), Jun lightened flywheel, TRD Clutch assembly, TRD sports muffler, Custom high flow race cat, and the other mods, I've mention^^^.

When I made my recent pull, it was with the engine cover off, intake taken off completely, and exhaust undone from header back.

btw, the 15.89pass was b4 my most RECENT mods done in the past few months... (I also ran that with my cousins 16x255 drag radials from Nitto, I believe the 555R's...not too sure, coulda been reg. 555's)

LATE.

btw, VERY nice on the 16.8 pass :D

wow 15.9's. i better watch out for you at sac raceway. I need to race a scion to see how fast i actually am. I've only raced a few cars but they we're all low 14 second cars and they won by like 3 car lengths and up!

TylorWeaver
08-09-2004, 04:14 AM
Yea, same here, that same night I was running 16flats, and the 15.98pass, I was in the bracket against a 2000 Si with DC headers, exhaust, skunk2 parts, and CAI, etc.. just a basic street civic you would find every fri/sat night at Sunrise..lol.

It was Black, with Hyperblack wheels with a fat chrome lip, and stock Si spoiler, and was all tinted out and a tach, etc.

I believe he ran a 16.4, the funny thing is that he was released earlier than I was by like a sec. My Dial-in was a 15.5, and his I think he was around a 16.5 I thought it said on his window. I cought with him just as he hit the 60'...lol THANK GOD for the drag radials, and a 4k launch..LOL

We'll have to meet up one of these Weds. nights...prolly in a few weeks, like after Scion Night.. And run against eachother.

As long as you tell the coordinators b4 you setup in the staging lanes u would like to race so and so, they'll let you, as long as you're running the same light (.500) not a pro light (.400) lol..

Welp, take it easy breezy, talk to you soon..MAYBE THE TRACY MEET?!?!?

My friend and I were going to go to the track on Friday but didn't because it was unusually cold outside. My 140hp 2100lb Civic I ran one single time first time I ever did drag and only ran 16.8. I know it was easily a mid-15 car but I never got another chance. I figured if I could go to the track with the xA and run better than 16.8 I would be happy. Looks like a lot of you guys are doing better.

You guys that ran 15.9 and 16.2 you guys run on the stock tires?

I ran on my 18's!! and no I have a man tran.

Weighted the car... 2450 it was on the scale...

Hey keith, I said I ran on Drag Radials. Nitto 555R's. They are mounted on Buddy Club 16x9 wheels.

They used to belong to my friend Bryan, but I bought them from him for $360.

I did run a 16.2 on my 18" wheels and Kumho Tires..

Hey I didn't put on the wires, thats what my shop told me, so hey, don't give the roll eyes lil' _____, and as for rusted, it sure the hell is bro.

If you'd like to see come on over and check it out.

BTW, if you're gonna be a little _____ about it and make fun of me, and call me a liar over the computer, DON'T, cause I KNOW you're ___ would not tell me that to my face.

And who the hell said anything about a return line?? or a distrubutor cap??

And as for what the shop did to my car, such as spark plug wires, etc. I'm going to have to give them a call up and see whats up. Because they charged me for a set of MSD wires.

As for the header, I paid my Neighbor when he went to kobe, to have him buy me a used JDM header. He came back with it, and it had 5little rust spots around the beginning part of the header closest to the block. It is the TRD header from Japan. He ended up paying like $245 US dollars for it. I gave him $300, and I had him keep the rest.

So please, don't be a little _____, and trying to make me look stupid.

No disrespect, but the JDM TRD header is Stainless Steel. Our cars do NOT have spark plug wires, and there really isn't a way to do ECU mods. If this is what your shop told you, they need to be slapped.

I would never use my xB for any kind of track use... it's too expensive, and racing voids the warrenty. I have cheap cars for that. I just sold my silvia (yes, the real deal, I never regestered it, I just used it for racing) and it was only $3200 after shipping ($875). I figure If I completely f' it up, I'm only out a few grand, if I f'd up my xB, I'd cry. :(

What year Silvia?? S13 presumably??

Yep, It was a 93. I have a friend that just got stationed in Japan again, he sent it to me (no, he didn't just slap some stamps on it! lol) a few years ago, and it sat there for a while (I originally wanted to use it on the road). Who ever owned it before me was really into cars too, LOTS of custom parts. I wish I could have dyno'd it before I sold it, It was definitely the fastest car I've EVER driven. Kinda miss it. I got orders to Virginia beach, so maybe when I get there I'll look for a Carolla GTS hatchback (Hachiroku). I've seen them REALLY cheap in FL, so maybe I'll get lucky. I figure this time I'll try out "drifting". There was a club on base in Yokuska when I was in Japan, VERY cool... Never could compete with the old japanese guys though... lol

Any sort of tuning (minor or major) of the ECU/PCM requires a programmer to figure out the code. This isn't like taking a screwdriver to a carburator for a few hours of tuning by your average Joe, it usually takes a team of very smart people (i.e. SCT or Diablo) to crack the OEM codes and create a tuner module for an ECU. So unless the people who tuned your car were Toyota engineers or programmers (which I highly doubt), I can assure you that you've been ripped off. The spark plug wire thing should set off a light in your head telling you the people operating this shop are full of ____ and took advantage of you.

Well if that 15.9 was your real time, that isn't too shabby.

But if they go, Atlanta, GA.... then they go, OH, I see.. So, where in Atlanta do you live, Tylor?

THEN, I go, well I'm in South Atlanta... Peachtree City...

Technically, I'm not in So. Atlanta.. but still, its a pretty good reference point ;) I'm hardly a 30minute drive into Downtown Atlanta...

OH, and I don't just have I.H.E. on my Scion.. WELL, not anymore, I don't even have my car anymore... lol :lalala:

I had, Yokohama Advan tires, Hotchkis front sway bar, Progressive Rear sway bar, stock springs, CUSCO front underbrace, JIC front underbrace, JIC rear brace, DC header, TRD rear section, magnaflow highflow race-cat, slightly larger dia. full exhaust setup (done by ME, and my buddy at his shop), JUN lightened flywheel, TRD clutch setup, AEM intake w/APEX'i filter/Injen heatsheild, DIY groundwire 4ga. setup, Denso plugs, slight internal work done by JDS inductions, as well as engine tuning done also by JDS induction.. (many more mods, but I'm only posting straightline performance mods)

total HP= 124.3fwhp, 131.9ft-lbs on a dynojet inground at ALL SPEED, located here in PTC.. JUST pulled it about 2 weeks before totalling my car...

So yea.. all that money down the drain basically..

It was definately a fun car, its just seriously a shame, I couldn't at least run the car at a strip here in GA before I wrecked it, LET ALONE, having a track day at Road Atlanta...

all in all, it was DEFINATELY a good run I had in my car, and DEFINATELY unforgetable

WE'LL, too bad you're assumption is wrong my friend...

lownxb, you're the one about to shovel you're own ____ ;)

Keep your ___ on "HUSH" mode unless you KNOW something I don't :blah: :ttth:

AND, no, I was about 21-23 months through with paying on my xB, when my accident happened, STILL leaving about $11k on the loan.. and my car was appraised at $11,500 I think.. so they just used the $500 I WOULD Have gotten back to pay for my insurance deductible.. BUT I did get my Insurance payment back, I had JUST made the day before (3months= $342).. so yea, other than that.. i just got raped basically...

My new whip, I WAS trying to get a tC, BUT, I really wanna kinda steer away from Scion for the meantime.. so I have a few cars on my "to do" list for now..

-2002 RSX-S
-2002 Civic Si
-2003 WRX sedan
or
-1990 Civic Si with money left over for an F20 swap (S2000engine)

but it all depends.. If it all works out, I might have that '02 Si on Friday!!

I won't mind that.. I have SO many hookups with Honda stuff, its not even funny, so I'd prolly drop in a K20 a few months down the line... :silly:

I'm just glad no one was hurt in the wreck, and everyone ended up being ok

peace, Tylor

could you enlighten me on why you would put a RWD motor in a FWD chassis? Especially when there are other options that blow that s2k motor away.

Well I wouldn't count on me keeping my ___ on HUSH, cause by reading the crap you are writing, you don't know much. It seems to me someone has a few to many sport compact magazine subscriptions, and by the sound of it you don't know your ___ from a hole in the ground. I think it's real interesting how people were telling you prove you B.S. and all of the sudden your poor little knee hurts, then, well what do you know why wouldn't you car get totalled? I wonder if you ever had an XB to begin with.

lmao.. Yea, I guess I'm lying about everything.. lol

Check me bro.. look back from DAY one of my posting.. I've owned my xB since JUNE 9TH, 2003.. you want my VIN? you want my license plates? you want my registration papers????????

If you'd to see the 2" manilla folder with documents regarding my knee complications, then so be it.. if you'd like to see the pictures of my Scion TOTALLED.. ONE WORD...... SEARCH... use that little button Darren gave you on the top of you're page.. "SEARCH".. it helps ;)

Yes, I read only ONE magazine.. and thats Sport Compact Car.. nothing other, because if you ASK ME.. about 90% of all import / sport compact mags nowadays are turning into NOTHING but rice... *shakes head*.. so I stay FAAAR away from all that Bull____...

So yea, whatever sh!t you're talking about saying, how I'm a big fraud.... OK, whateverthe____...

And what are you talking about proving someone, and then my knee hurts..??

WHO DO I HAVE TO PROVE ANYWAY??? I know I have what I have, and I know what I KNOW.... why would I make up something, let ALONE.. EVERYTHING...?

And, please, REFRESH my memory, since you KNOW so much about me, about how I was supposed to "prove" someone something, then I came up with this "knee" excuse..

Because QUITE frankly I don't know you, and you don't know me, so HOW you would suggest ANY of that bull____ information is true.. is BEYOND me.

Truthfully, you just need to go get some psychiatric help ;)

PEACE TO YOU B!TCH..

but, Duey.. its realatively easy..... I've already seen a few EG6 and EF9 swapped F20's..... You just have to know someone who KNOWS what they're doing, as far as fabrication and such goes.. because when it gets to the point of anything to fabricate thats ONE-OFF.. then I'm clueless...

It certainly helps to have friends and know people in high places :D

later..

OH, and trust me, I know there are far better alternatives than the F20 swap, but.... You really can't get any better with "out of the box" horsepower for a USDM honda engine... WITHOUT having to boost it...

and believe me, I would go with an H22 swap, or perhaps a B20 swap.. but quite frankly, I would like to be different.. such as those few others I had mentioned earlier with the F20 swaps... ;) instead of jumping on the bandwagon, and swapping in the norm.. w00t

OH, and I don't just have I.H.E. on my Scion.. WELL, not anymore, I don't even have my car anymore... lol :lalala:

Hey all i want is the name of your street pharmacist.... cause your on some good ____...

Let me get this straight? you used two differant manufactures of swaybars, which either company has desined them to work in conjunction with each other, yet stock springs?
- This would provide only lateral support in corners, Swaybars especially larger diameter ones act like a spring from side to side lateral movement. unneeded for any 1320 grand prix's
- You claim to have used both the JIC magic and the CUSCO front lower underbrace? really how that work for you if they would require the same mount points? and according to CUSCO's site both Japanese and English that part doesn't show to exist? can you send me a link to it?
- DC sports header? at which point did you change from the rusty SS JDM pc? Is it for Sale?
- good thing you saved so much money on the "Slightly larger DIY exhaust" did TRD provide you with the proper specs for this with in conjunction to its over the axle pc? or was it larger than that as well for mass flow design thru that high flow cat?
- JUN lightned flywheel huh? so you only have one kidney now? wow whata dedicated soul to give up a kidney for his xB.....
- and you could have just cleaned the K&N filter, no need to buy one from APEXi for the same part.
- 4 gauge ground wire kit huh? kinda over kill considering every leading manufacture on the market with a kit is only using 8-10 ga. amn i bet your lights are blingin !!!
- Denso plugs? ____ after all that money you saved on the exhaust i bet you sprung for those in a heart beat.
- and i'm really intrested in bullet proofing my bottom end... what did you do to build up the internals of yours?

and i hate to "pop" your bubble but for being rated @ 108 hp stock at the flywheel. and showing maybe the better part of 80/82 hp on Several Dyno including XS engineering i highly doubt that a CAI, HEADER, "custom Exhaust", and some swaybars and frame braces netted you a 124.3fwhp, 131.9ft-lbs . Maybe with a 10 lb bottle loaded in the back, but certainly not N/A. I don;t know what everyone else bull____ meters showing but mines pegged!! and oh of course theres no way to prove it its broken now... with hopes and dreams of throwing a Driveshaft tunnel in an Ef civic with a S2k motor. If you sold that ____ your smokin up here in Detroit you would be sitting on a mint cause i don't know anyone who can hallucinate like that. oh and yes OWNED! and you better add 18 more yrs to that 15 yr old comment pal. ive been driving and building cars longer than you've been out of diapers.
