Great tails, different style. The turn signals are actually the middle of the lights flashing which is different from just the top. The install requires replacing the bulbs with a plug that goes into their sockets and moving the harness from the stock tails to the new tails. I bought them from Orcmica on ebay who i recommend.

The tails dont come with LEDs (Ormica-usa on ebay didnt supply them) But you could get the replacement bulb on like superbrightleds.com or some site like that easily.

I agree, I love my Anzo taillights and I love showing them off to other tC's on the road :P

I have had them for about 1 1/2 months now and I have had absolutely no problems with shorting out, fogging, leaks, etc. I have taken it through 3 carwashes, as well.

No such thing as Anzo black tails. I'm not sure where u heard that from. These are the only tails from Anzo.

Do the clear/chrome part on the bottom of these tails have any functions? Do they light up at all or are they just for looks?

could someone photo shop some smoke on these tails....I've got my stock ones smoked on my BCP, but I'm starting to like these and I wonder how they would look tinted...

any of you guys have problems with fitment of these anzo tails? i got these about a week ago, and when installing them, they didn't quite line up as well as the stock ones, so i broke one of them trying to get it to fit. wasted around 180 bucks. waiting for my new set to come in the mail this week.

mine are light smoke 3/10. There is also the dark 6/10. If you want even darker you will have to double up on the 6/10 or VHT nightshade them.

Got mine from ebay. Either go w/ omicron (spelling?), pro exhaust, or motor blvd. All three have the real anzo dot approved red LED tails. Ranges from around 160 to 190 shipped.

It took me 2 hours! I didn't know what I was doing on the first light, so I had alot of wrinkles when I got towards the end. It took forever to heat and stretch the vinyl so I could get those wrinkles out. The second light was much easier because I knew exactly where to start. What worked for me, was starting in the middle and smoothing the overlay out, then working from the middle to right side, then did the left. I had to really take my time, squeegeeing it inch by inch so there wouldn't be many bubbles, those are the worst to try to get out! I HIGHLY recommend removing the lights first.

yup, they remove without leaving a sticky mess. that is the main reason I chose vinyl over spray paint.

Does anyone have the ones that are allready smoked without the overlays? I've been wanting to get them for my SW but not sure if they will look ok, and how dark they come. My windows are 22% tinted so I thought the smoked may look better. =)

you can contact k2motor (spec-d) I bought mine (made by eagel eyes) at their website and they have different kind of tail lights for the tc I'm sure you can ask them who make them. by the way for does people asking where can you buy the tail lights online beside ebay go to www.k2motor.com and if you live near 626 you can buy the product and have it pick up the same day at their warehouse or they offer free shipping too.

The Sonar ones are called Altezza because:

I tried "Eagle Eyes" and I got 28x listings for sunglasses and music with 6x of the 9 listings in eBay motors for motorcycle turn signals! :clap: :rofl:

I know you are absolutely right so I checked the Search Title and Description box and returned 1894x possiblilities for everything from fishing lures to a OEM/stock Tacoma taillight.

I'm noticing that a large number of tC owners seem to prefer the OE (all-red look) but with LEDs. What about all red with a band of clear in the middle like those Benz lenses? Does anybody think that would look sick or would it be too Camry? (hey it rhyms! ...benz lenz..:doh: nevermind....)

Good thing there are so many choices in aftermarket for cosmetics like this. Wasn't that long ago, if you didn't like the tails you'd have to wait till the next year's OE came out on the next models :tap: and 'update' to those at dealer prices :eyebrow:
This way we are faced with so many choices we no longer get to make the excuse that we don't like those ugly things either... but they came with the car! Maybe car companies should make them interchangeable like cell-phone covers! That way we could just keep changing them with a snap and click everytime they draw some bad smack :nope: On the upside, maybe the prices would come down :clap: On the downside. though, the best prices would probably come from 'hot' once that were pinched off of parked cars because they be even easier to steal :silly: (You all realize that's why the OE have that really superlong top pin and the 2x bottom clip rails tha hook under the bumper,right? Theft prevention! They figured the tails would be much less attractive to thieves if they have to tear the bumper cover off 1st or risk destroying the housing! The older xB already sold in Japan in '98 BTW doesn't have that feature; it's 3x nuts and a plug and you're away! You could say that they learned something from the theft/chop-shop numbers with the Camry...)

Might have been an overlay? but sounds like the TYC's with an overlay...or might have been the Feint tails...were the brake lights circular LEDs? then they were Feint.

I was going to go that route, but the bottom part is chrome and didn't match to the unsmoked TBL, and I do not want any chrome on the tail lights. I wanted to smoke them light tint, not black-out. My car is FM and in my opinion, having darker tail lights than the color of paint looks off unless on a white or black car...but to each their own, I agree.
