Xb versus XB replacement
Definitely rather have the current gen. I really hoped the new one wouldn't look like the new BB because I love the new BB and would have to had traded mine in. But the one we saw in Miami was not as funky or weird looking as the new BB, or even the existing XB. The only advantage of the new one is that it's bigger -- both wider and longer. Although I still like the smaller size of the current one.
The new XB looks like something Nissan or somebody else would make. I'm positive there will continue to be demand for our current XBs because they're so much more unique.

The new one is VERY nice! It still has the xB characteristics, but there are some added features that are not on the current models. As Maria mentioned, the new xB will have 4-wheel disc brakes and 5-lug wheels rather than 4-lug. There is not a dramatic difference in the overall size of the new one versus the old, but it is a little bit longer with a little bit wider wheel base. These are all points that I found to be very appealing about the new model, but I am still very partial to the original xB. If I was about to buy an xB for the first time and was experiencing the two side-by-side for the first time, I would probably go with the newer xB. But, if I had to trade in my existing xB in order to get the new one, I would probably just stick with my current xB.
The new xB is fairly amazing and has its own unique qualities. Just like our first-gen xB it will be easily distinguised on the road and Im predicting heavy demand for at least the first half of 2007. I will be keeping my current xB but will be working with the next-gen model as well with my team. I'm looking forward to the launch....

This is not the new xB, but the shape IS similar, though. The new xB does not have the c-pillar windows, so the rear of the new xB is very reminiscent of the t2B in that respect. The front of the new xB is a bit more blunt like the current xB, but there were similar vents in the front end. There were also round foglights tucked in near the low vents. The hood was a bit longer and the headlights wrapped around onto the fenders in a similar fashion to the t2B, but the overall contour of the front of the t2B is different from the new xB. The new xB's headlights also act as the vehicle's front sidemarkers where they wrap around onto the fender. They also contain a projector-style headlight that is near the outer front edge of the headlight assembly. The inner light is still a standard/reflector style halogen bulb.
the window line across the car also is not straight, it slopes. so rather than lookin like = it looks like > (obviously not that drastic)
the rear is also muy sexy, and the one at the show was dual exhaust if i remember correctly
the front looks like theres going to be alot of rock chips as the hood comes down further, where the grill is now

Thank You all for the feedback. I will be keeping my Yellow Box. That is if I can get my son to start driving the Cherokee. Then its all mine, MINE MINE MINE. My Precious.
