newspaper, painters tape, exacto knife, and lots of patience taping everything off!
really though, the easiest way would be to sand off the green, paint the whole thing white, tape the top flat part of the emblem and letters, then shoot green over that. take the tape off and voila, green engine cover w/ white letters

Why the green color on the eng cover? What else are you making green ( I assume that is why the green on the eng cover)?? And yes you must detail the eng covering letters, I would say either white of silver like they were again, either would look good.
I painted mine after applying the overall color, and yes the masking is tedious, but the result is good.

I since this pic decided I didn't like the red I on the VVT-I (even tho that is the way these emblems usually are) so I painted it silver also.
Excellent choice of subwoofer brand ( I admit I am biased, have been using Jl Audio stuff for years). You are making great progress given you age and college status. Don't give up you will get there!!!

Is that John Deere green? The easiest way to get the silver lettering was to coat them with Vasaline prior to painting the cover. Then wipe off the letters before you add the clearcoat.
I'm gonna strip mine back to black and paint it BCP to match the exterior.

Anyway, love the black wheels with chrome lip. Looks good.

I don't care for the fuel door cover. It's a personal taste thing, but I don't understand the desire to bring attention to a fuel door. Can somebody give me their point of view on why this looks good?
Overall, very cool xBox.
Look good you already know you need the drop.....but i wanted to ask you how do you like that one sub? i have 2 12inch jl w3v3 and its too much bass so im selling this one and downsizing a bit........? how does it sound and feel.....is it enough bass?

also the center caps on my wheels are carbon which matches my fuel cover and after the drop there will be a carbon hood. figured it would tie it all together. however i did feel kind of silly for paying 30 bucks for what is essentially a sticker.
as far as the sub goes, my first car had 4 solobaric 15 l7 in it so i know what subs and too much bass sounds like. my truck before this was a single cab ranger and i had the sub in it and sounded good. but when i put it in my box it sounded......realllllllllly nice. i mean clean as a whistle man just really really nice. doesnt rattle all my stuff loose just there and ties all my audio together and i can still rock out with it turned on without sounding like garbage.
lovin it.
some suggestions:
a) lose the front emblem - i see you dig famous s&s, so, buy a $10 bB front badge, and a smallish fs&s belt buckle...grind off the back of the buckle, and use 3m automotive mounting tape to hold it to the bB badge
b) buy some randode rear warning cover-ups while you get the engine lettering
c) build an amp cover out of wood and carpet it to hide the wires - leave a big hole in the center so that you can see the amp, and let it breathe
d) clear the corners
e) get some red taillight overlays from blue_batmobile
f) paint the foglight plugs black
g) keytechniques PW keyhole covers
h) green interior lighting from oznium
i) green led strips, again, oznium, for the engine bay
j) resist any and all temptations to ever use colored wire loom in the engine bay
