Default Help! AIR PROBLEM (NOT BAGS)

I was installing my new dvd player stereo, and when I put everything back togeather I realized that I can no longer use my fresh air switch. It has no resistance at all. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Better go back in there and find out what you knocked loose or what wires are in the way blocking its action. Most likely is a mechanical problem from something popped out of place during the install.

There is a tiny little switch back there on one side. You probably knocked it out of position or got a wire stuck behind the metal actuator strip.

The switch is still there, but there is no resitance when I move the lever, it just moves freely. Is'nt there supposed to be a cable or something hooked up?

Pull the silver surround faceplate off again (if indeed the switch isn't changing modes, (IT DOES MOVE FREELY). The switch you move moves a lever that hits a little micro switch as you look to the center under the radio (it is red and black I think, but it has a little silver metal blade the the lever pushes on). If a wire has fallen in behind this micro switch it could keep it from actuating.

Ah, I'll check that out and see if a wire came off. I know which part you speak of, but did'nt check the wire yet. Thanks and and I'll keep posting.

That's what I meant, thanks for clearing it up for me.
