it should not be running any richer because the MAINTENANCE REQUIRED light is on

the MR light has nothing to do with how the engine runs, it just knows when the last time the odometer was reset for the MR light

How do you reset that light? I'm about to do an oil change.

check engine light does NOT come on for routine maintenance...

the "maintenance required light" does that and is nothing more than a milage counter to remind you to change your oil.

that's easily reset if you read the manual...

if your CEL is on.. you have other issues.

O weird...cause one time my cel came on and I didn't know what it was....took it for one of those free oil changes and all of a sudden it was gone. Maybe just a coincidence...but very convient coincidence. lol

please just read the manual so we can avoid these mind numbing threads. sheesh. if I only have a dime for everytime a mod had to lock one of these

cel = check enging light
the maintainance required light goes on when you're due for an oil change if its been reset properly.

^^ actually.. is however many miles between 1-5K in 1K increments...

the light can be programmed to turn on sooner than 5K if you wanted to.
