ive grown weary of the xB wheel, and seeing as how i dont have steering wheel controls (much thanks to scion) i have decided that i want a new steering wheel
but here is where my problem lies...
I had a bg, black leather and chrome Grant wheel in my blazer, i loved it.. but grant doesnt make a scion adapter... lovely, so im going to order the sparco hub when i get some feedback...
any pics that you have of your conversions are welcomed....
Thanks in advance

check with your insurance first, it may very well be that any benefits you may receive in the case of an accident would be greatly reduced if you were to disable safety features of the vehicle.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade, bud. just something to think about.

Momo's got a few awesome ones...
Momo Steering Wheels
I wanna get the V6 (possibly Trek or Trek-R) eventually.

Actually, you can probably get an adapter from Grant that will work. If I am not mistaken Scion uses the same steering wheel mount as the majority of Toyotas. In fact if you look at the options from NRG, they use the same part for almost a dozen different Toyotas that they use for the Scion.
Grant and other companies just won't advertise that they have kits that will work for air bag equipped vehicles. This covers their butts in case something bad happens using their parts in an undocumented application.
If I am not mistaken you can pick up a grant adapter for about $30 from JC Whitney. All you really have to do is cross refrence the vehicles on the NRG website with what is available from Grant.
Running the Grant adapter should allow you to run any of their steering wheels. You would also have the option to run a billet steering wheel from companies like Intro, Billet Specialties and B.A.D.
Hope that helps.

What i worry about is insurance issues. Being a 16 year old guy is bad enough. Removing safety features?
Whats an estimate of how much this alters your bill? I would do it if its anything over $40-$50 per 6 months.

redneck, I've heard that a Grant adapter from an older Toyota will work. Just take the OEM wheel with you and match it up in the store. My friend gothbox has the Grant chain lowrider wheel mounted up in his box.
