I'm on a limited budget of $400sh with shipping. Can anyone suggest any decent 2 Din TouchScreen Media player from ebay or anywhere. Ive been searching around ebay, but they all look pretty much thesame.

This is what I care for the most:
- Good Interface/Button Graphics
- USB or MMC,SD card slot

my first choice is the Valor 2 din player which goes around $350

I see alot of the offshore cheap sets to have really plain text graphics on the interface...

 

I would wait for the new Avic D3 coming out in March 07. Its supposed to retail for $1000. That means you could possibly find it online for $600-700.

I know the Z1 could be found for as low as $1700 shipped from a reputable online store and it retailed somewhere around $2400 when it first came out.

no use wasting good money on a sh1tty 2-Din...

My advise is to wait a while and buy one that is a littler more. I know that a majority name brand is just a name, but when it comes to I.C.E. the people that charge more have invested more money into their product. Just remember you are paying $400.00 for a 400.00 touchscreen so if it doesnt end up meeting you expectations you wont get that mad.

 

if you get a jensen and you get it from a circuit city or bestbuy get the extended warranty. You will be taking it back constantly. I work for CC and they come back all the time.

Your not going to find anything good for 400 bucks.

Go to overstock.com get the JVC for like 500 some.... It's not a touch screen, but the image quality is amazing... You will have to pay 1k or more to get the same quality out of a touch screen.

 

exactly what kind of problems do they run into?? or the typical flaws of cheaper units?

 

The buttons falloff of the jensens pretty consistantly. The ipod interface doesn't work all of the time and the touch screen usually goes out and will only work in certain parts.

 

i bought the valor unit because it has a lot of features i was looking for as far as media playing capabilities and the price was too good to pass up ($580.00 shipped for the headunit, 2 monitors, and a back up camera). i'll have it installed by this weekend and i'll let you know how it works out. if it's crap, i'll tell you. i've been interested in these for a while so i decided to just go through with it. i can tell you from searching online that i found a lot of positive experiences from actual owners (which is worth more to me than someone who doesn't have one saying it sucks).

 

well, Valor is what they have been selling at Clair Scion in MA for about a year now. They tried to sell me one but I insisted on the Eclipse instead. Valor + Dealership could mean its good...

 

i didn't know they sold them as optional equipment anywhere. i agree that it could be a good sign. like i said, if it's crap, i'll let everyone know. this is my first experience with a headunit that isn't a more popular brand so i'm hoping for the best.

look on eBay search "Double Din" theres lots of nice ones for good prices on there, just got done searching, I found a Pioneer 7" touchscreen motorized for $379.00 plus $43.00 shipping! i put in a bid for that one I hope i win, hehe

well, the touchscreen headunit is from valor and so is the back up camera. the monitors are power ackoustik or something like that. but yeah, i'll post up pics out of the box and installed. i'm really anxious as far as the headunit goes. i hope it's not junk!
