View Full Version : HID KIT dubd16 01-09-2007, 12:18 PM i found some cheaper hids, i wanted to know what the downside is, they have a 1 yr warranty, http://stores.ebay.com/YOUR-ONLINE-CAR-PARTS-RESOURCES_REAL-HID-CONVERSION-KIT_W0QQfsubZ17 are they good 2beturbod 01-09-2007, 12:26 PM Most will say Ebay is you get what you pay for. If you want to be the first person to try it go ahead. Yanki01 01-09-2007, 12:39 PM crap, dont get it! rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 12:45 PM 41 bucks for shipping... seems like its being shipped from overseas... good luck getting a hold of someone over seas to honor the warranty. dugzilla 01-09-2007, 01:10 PM they ship from CA, $140 for HID's is really cheap, but don't know if they will last or not. rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 01:29 PM Eventually went they reach port.. they will be shipped from California! dugzilla 01-09-2007, 01:33 PM ^ That could be said about most of the products for our cars. rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 01:41 PM ^ That could be said about most of the products for our cars. Agreed - But why do think the Item Location isn't specified. People will rarely buy from a seller if there Location is outside the US. "Item location: WHOLE SALE, United States" And the shipping charge of 41 bucks sounds about right to ship anywhere in the US from China. dugzilla 01-09-2007, 01:58 PM A lot of sellers on ebay don't specifiy where they are, but you can usually tell by where they charge sales tax. They have some sort of storefront buisness in CA or they would not have to charge sales tax. I find that the feedback will tell you if you can trust the seller or not. This seller has over 10,000 feedback and 100% positive, it's a safe bet that the product is ok. rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 02:37 PM Location aside, I think it pretty messed up to charge 41 bucks for USPS priority shipping when it actually should cost no more than 7 bucks. For 41 bucks, shipped within the US it better be Same Day Delivery or Next Day before Noon. Understand that it could be compensating for lowering the product price to make it more appealing to the customer, but seriously, sellers should be honest and not beat around the bush. dugzilla 01-09-2007, 02:47 PM Location aside, I think it pretty messed up to charge 41 bucks for USPS priority shipping when it actually should cost no more than 7 bucks. They only have to pay fees on the purchase price not on shipping cost. rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 02:49 PM You should pay your dues, where dues need to be paid... Sellers shouldn't cheat the system... Karma is a B1tch! dugzilla 01-09-2007, 03:00 PM Happens all the time, the seller would tell you that ebay charges too much. Either way it's gonna cost you the same. rockbrawler884 01-09-2007, 03:06 PM Agreed... Being a business man myself who follows the rules, I hate when people try to cut corners. dugzilla 01-09-2007, 03:24 PM ^^I hear ya, I wouldn't do it either but I am not selling thousands of items on ebay. pure 01-09-2007, 03:56 PM You guys clearly have missed how absurd ebay fees have gotten, I'm shocked people still use it honestly. At the rate theyre going, ebay will be gone in a year. Frankly, I dont blame the guy. and @rockbrawler884, good luck with that business who doesnt try to maximize profits.... dugzilla 01-09-2007, 04:17 PM I don't sell on ebay, so I don't know how much it is. I do know that I can find almost anything I want on there for a good price. Yanki01 01-09-2007, 04:44 PM ebay will not be gone any time soon! dubd16 01-09-2007, 11:29 PM thanks guys lol, i still cant tell whether to buy or not please tell me?
