Default Need a clutch, where to buy?

Clutch went at 40k miles a couple days ago which is perfect timing when I have no money.

Haven't the slightest clue where to start looking online. All stock and probably going to stay that way, so nothing much more than stock is what i'm looking for.

All I want to do is save some money over the $1300 the dealer quoted me at (as expected). Stage 1? OEM somewhere else? give me ideas.

the clutch itself should not be more than 500 i think... the TRD one is about 470... so i think a ACT stage 1 would be cheaper. the dealer quote might be a bit expensive.

look around.

40K??!?! Yikes!! I hope they are built to last longer than that!

Have you beat up on your clutch or had people learn on it?

Anyway, it may be cheaper to buy parts yourself and have it installed at the local mech if you can't do it yourself. It may pay to get TRD parts as they may be just as costly as new stock parts. You could try used parts or something, but I really wouldn't want to with a clutch.

Yeah i know how you feel. dealers here quoted me 1150 installed for factory clutch. THey charged something like 400 for the clutch, and 700 for labor

PM him for special pricing

Ryan at Stripper Motorsports can help. P-Tuning have decent prices, and have a special 5% discount for ScionLife members. James at Promotion Tuning (aka Creative Compacts) is awesome and can also help. Can also try Weksos. Check out the Sponsored Sales for some deals too.

I have a bad habbit of leaving intersections in 2nd, and popping it into 2nd while still rolling backwards out of reverse. Plus i've been told I ride the clutch a little longer than I should when shifting, just getting lazy nowadays I guess.

Give us a whirl. www.dezod.com

Chances are your flywheel is quite fine considering the age and mileage of the cars on here. Take a look at it, and if it's bad, replace it. If not, resurface away!

I don't know what their deal is, I bought the exedy clutch on the 18th, it's now the 25th, and I haven't received anything. Not even an email stating why my package hasn't been shipped yet.

So far, thumbs down for my first and probably only experience with dezod
