Default WooHoo! Just got 366 miles out of a tank!

This was a tank of nothing but commuter driving in L.A. traffic. The funny thing was, I wasn't really even trying. My "Low Fuel" light came on as I was driving home last night, and I noticed I'd already covered 331 miles, which is on the high side of what I usually get out of a full tank. I figured I had at least a gallon left at that point, so I'd push it a bit before filling up. I ended up hitting 366 just as I got to the corner station - I was getting a little nervous, because by that time the needle was well below the Empty line, which I'd never done before.
The wildest part was it took 11.08 gallons to fill it! I've put in about 10 1/2 before, but never over 11...
Mpg was a little over 33, which isn't bad with the wider/stickier tires on the Box, either. Now I'm on a mission to hit 400 miles and 40 mpg!
Yeehaaa!

I just dont understand that, Im doing good to get 25 mpg on a 06.5 xB Auto with 7k miles, not driving hard.

It really doesn't take much, though you're at a little bit of a disadvantage with the auto. I'd say you could still easily top 30 with a little work.

How much city driving do you do? According to my ScanGauge, when I'm doing my putzing around town, I get 20-ish mpg. When I get out on a two-lane country road and toodle along at a mellow but constant pace, I get closer to 40.

I drive in the city almost exclusively, but I'm not gunning the gas every take off though. I keep it under 3500 rpm, and it dosent seem to help much.

I rarely do above 25MPG. My driving is 95% city. I tried to take it easy for a while to see if I could to better. I couldn't. So I stopped caring, it still costs me significantly less to fill up now than with my old Camry.
