hey i saw something on the forum the other day about a solid top grill, as in flat no ridges nothing (here the link http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23450 ) but i looked a little closer and to me all it looks like si someone found a smoked cover that cover the headlights and grill, well what i was wondering is if anyone makes a solid flat grill, unlike the one in the link, were instead of just fogging everything its an actual flat grill that goes in place of the original grill. If no one makes one, how much would it cost to have one made?

I'm seriously thinking of having one fabricated from steel or aluminum. The only tricky part is getting the right arc and doing some mounting tabs. But with the original to work from it shouldn't be too hard.

i was thinking about getting mine like fiberglassed or something like that, but you metioned the aluminum and a solid brushed or polished aluminum grill would look pretty sick. It would prolly be a pain to clean though.

"It would prolly be a pain to clean though."

Not if you have it powder coated or clear coated.

You could just take the stock grill and fill the ridges with bondo, then fiberglass over the front.

Or start with Kitty Hair. It's better for filling large gaps. Shape it then fill smaller imperfections with bondo.
