At the Scinergy IE meeting Thursday Aug. 12, an idea of Darryl's was presented.
When the club was formed, we had just the officers. As the club is expanding, we have a need for groups to perform various tasks, rather than put the burden on individual officers.

So, here is a proposed organizational grouping. If you believe that you would better fit in another group, let's hear from you.

President - Ron Sutton (no group)

Vice-President Group:
Responsible for: Team T-shirts, logo decals, badges, attendance, car procession rules, cleanliness of cars, event cost(s) / fund collection, Glendora Scion & local events, long distance events, member count, Scion Corp liaison / free products, assistance to Scinergy USA, maintaining member's e-mail addresses & phone numbers, etc.

Proposed members of the VP Group:

Tom
Oliver
Bettina

Public Relations Group:
Responsible for: Minutes, web updates, events with other clubs, designs /decals/ banners, event setup (banners, trophies, lights, etc.), group and car pictures, work with VP group to contact members via e-mail or phone, CD-Rom guides, digital photos, etc.

Sam Sanchez (PR Officer)

Parts/Accessories Group:
Responsible for: Updates for parts & accessories (xA, xB, TC), business connections (iinstalls, group buys, discounts), sponsorships, showings, tinting, interior / exterior mods, car audio, upholstery, wheels, tires, Web survey of parts & accessories, etc.

Entertainment Group:
Responsible for: DJ setup, food & drink, advertisements and flyer designs, movies, runs, park activities, etc.

You can create another group-name besides the ones listed above. Each group may interact with another group. All responsibilities can be changed or added to as well. If you see your name under a certain group, you DO NOT have to be in that group if you do not want to. As stated by lava-Bill, they are proposed members. Have fun in your groups as WE all have to report to the President.

Sorry guys i haven't been around. things have been hectic around here. At least i'm back on the boards. sounds like i missed a good meeting. since there is no one in the entertainment group, i guess i'll propose myself to that group. Anyone else? 8)

how about people think who they would want in a group and at the next meeting we organize everything.

please remember that the groups are for organization and everyone has a say in what goes on in the club.

Make your preferences known here; even if you cannot make it to the next meeting, we can have something to work with while we put this all together.

Nothing is cast in concrete now or later. Our aim is to be flexible and this is an attempt to organize the club for maximum fun with minimum work. One thing is certain - a handful of officers cannot accomplish everything by themselves.

We've already grown enough to need to seriously move toward the idea of groups for the various tasks that need doing - working independently and together.

Scinergy is becoming a significant presence in the Scion world. This will just be more so as we all participate and contribute.

Maybe someday ScinergyIA can grow large enough to facilitate the use of groups or something like that. Would be a neat idea!

Sounds like you guys had a great meeting last night, fantastic. I feel honored to be included in such great company. Just let me know what is needed and consider it done. I will be out of town for the next three days, when I get back I will check to see what I can do.

Actually i am still sketching the TC for TC-Mike so that he can have his own Scinergyie decals and whomever gets a TC. I am almost done with it and it was harder than i thought with ALL of its contours. It is not as easy as the xB, xA and Prius. Soon, i'll be selling these t-shirts through adventon. Oh, yes i've been posting late at night till early mornings, but throughout the day, i am working with my connections to keep them solid and of course to get the jump on other scion teams, for OUR team :!: I haven't seen a scion club as creative as ours and IA. Team IA will go far as they are devoted to being the BEST they can be. I hope to visit the SD team.
