can i use the aux input in the car with the AVN5435? I want to plug my ipod in while i get the money to buy the adapter.

you can use the AUX in, but you will need a female 1/8th inch adapter to RCA plug in

then set the input the VTR and you should be set. youll have to control whats being played through the actual iPod though. there is no iPod module that will let you control it from the head unit that works with the 5435
