Don't worry iNFEktEd, we haven't forgotten about you. You ordered a custom color yellow in 9006. Custom colors take 9-13 business days for them to arrive to us. Once they do we will overnight you the kit to make up the difference in time. Don't worry, you will be seeing it shortly.

Our Custom Color yellows are actually 4300k bulbs that have the gases inside of the bulb changed to produce a gold bar yellow. There is a difference between 3000k and our custom color yellow.

should be fairly easy to install hid kit with relay harness..

1) replace halogen bulbs with hid bulbs (do NOT touch bulbs!)
2) mount the two ballast on the engine bay (i used heavy duty velcro)
3) mounted passenger ballast behind headlight where its level and drivers side on the fender

http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1886496#1886496

4) connect relay
- red to battery
- black to ground metal location
- 2 connectors to ballast
- one connector to stock harness

Is Bi-Xenon two bulbs, one for low and one for high, or just one bulb?

operatic
04-15-2007, 08:28 PM
Do these hook up to the battery? Or through the factory harnesses? How's the warranty like?
There is one wire that hooks up to the battary (12v source) and another to any ground. your factory headlight socket isn't directly powering the HID's, but it acts as a trigger. All this is to ensure that you don't fry your factory wiring harness.

Is Bi-Xenon two bulbs, one for low and one for high, or just one bulb?
A bi-xenon bulb is 1 bulb with with a high and low beam on it. Here is a picture to show you what I am talking about.

Do these hook up to the battery? Or through the factory harnesses? How's the warranty like?

It hooks up to the battery for power and through one harness plug to know when to turn on and off.

BTW, it has been covered NUMEROUS times before, please search!

I have a question....

Anyone in here have the Hella Micro DE fogs?? I ordered a kit for my Hella Micro DEs and the bulb base is too big for the retainer clip to hold the bulb in the housing. The stock H3 Halogen bulb has a tiny base. Heres some pix of the stock halogen: http://theserviceadvisor.com/part/images/products/engineparts/k195076064lhi.jpg

operatic
04-16-2007, 01:54 AM
Most of the times you can squeeze the clip over our rubber boot. If not, trim off part of the rubber boot from the bulb to allow the retainer clip to hold the bulb.

Hey operatic starting about a week ago my HID's have been flickering lately when first turned on. Is there anything that I should do? Check if there are any loose connections? Let me know I don't want to become even worse later on. I still got the 1 yr warranty this going

sciontc313
04-20-2007, 06:45 AM
^^same here... is it a bad ground? solution??

operatic
04-20-2007, 02:26 PM
Check all your connections, check for a good ground (if it's not on the battery, try somewhere else).

Flickering is caused by a loose connection or a bad ground or a loose 12v source. To just double check, put the ground on the negative side of the battary. If the problem continues, contact me.

can i clean the bulbs with lint free towel or do i need to use rubbing alcohol? there's no fingerprints on it, just dirts and stuff, can't get it off just by blowing...

also, the ceramic return wire suppose to be above or under the HID bulb when installed?

operatic
04-22-2007, 08:03 PM
Use rubbing alcohol and a lint free towel or a cotton ball. Also, the wire should be on the bottom side. You'll know immediately if it's wrong though when you turn the lights on at night.

All of our custom colors start off as 4300k, then the gasses inside the bulb are altered to produce the desired color. They are just as bright as 4300k as the picture shows.

So i finally got around to installing these lights and let me say they are freakin awesome!! everything about this product and transaction was great! From the prompt emails, fast shipping and ease of installation...you can not go wrong with getting a set of these lights! The only thing i feel odd about is not having High beams...although i did not get flashed at all tonight......i will definitely be making another order for the matching fog lights and or some Bi-xenon.

Thanks again Operatic!

Ha thats funny dave, i was thinking of getting some Bi-xenons just for that purpose......if they think the lows are bright wait till they get blasted with the highs.......i knew i should of just went with the bi's....but i just couldnt wait.

Hey Operatic when i do get the bi-xenon kit...can i just use the single xenon ballasts i have now but just get the correct bulb size for the fogs??.....or are the fogs a different set up?

Yes, you can use the single xenon ballast. The ballast are all the same. As for the foglights, for an xB they are a 9006

Ya man, I can get a set ready for ya

as for XxHeartxBleedxX, you are running your HIDs through a reflective housing, the light scatters. If you want to produce a better cut off, you would need to purchase after market projectors.

This may sound dumb but bear with me.

I am worried about the beam pattern being too scattered on my tC. I dont want to ____ people off I just want a good kit with a cut off line that doesn't blind on coming traffic. I do not have projectors so I guess I am asking for an honest answer if anyone that has them has been pulled over or flashed. Thanks everybody.

operatic
05-31-2007, 06:35 PM
The only cut off i've seen in person from a tC is from davedavetC's and his is not that bad. If you want an extreamly nice cut off with our HID kit, you would need some eBay projectors to aid you in that area.
