 no zip ties? That sux man, how did you mount them though, if you dont mind me asking? I only used my zip ties to secure the wires and looms around the engine compartment so they don't touch or melt anything. That one guy was missing a wire harness too...hmm, I guess poor packaging from the company they deal with.

well i mounted them with double sided tape (3m 2 lb tape) and its been stuck in my engine pay ever since i got em. but the zip ties would have helped with the wires to hold them down, i guess i need to go buy some cause hat would help just incase they do touch something hot.

Don't get too excited there freddy cakes its a game I made up. you take any word anyone says and you add "YOUR A" in front of it and it becomes a funny never ending bowl of fun.!!!

example.: i like my Scion xb it's fun to drive.

then you would say: "Your fun to drive" or "Your a drive" or Your a XB

Get it. I suggest everyone trys it. It gets freakin hilarious if you do it right.

I do not have any pics of our HID kit on a 2nd Gen xB. As for aiming them down, most projector headlamps do not require you to do that as there will be a clearly defined cut off line and won't produce glare.

I received the lights from the operatic offer. I ordered the H11 package. I don't have the knowledge to judge quality, but it looks good. Installation was on my daughters' new 2008 Scion TC. Bought it for her 16th birthday last week.

Bulbs fit perfect, I ran the passenger side wiring across the front of the grill attaching it to the existing wiring with zip ties to hold in place. Drilled out the bracket and attached the ballast to the bolt holding the abs system.

I attached to th drivers side ballast to the bracket just to the left of the drivers headlamp assembly with ballast wires pointing up. Dr Isotope radiator panel covered it up perfectly. Ground wire to front bolt near radiator, red wire to battery. Plugged in connector to relay and nothing happened. Pushed it all the way in and voila! Lights. We turned on all 3 cars , 06 Sienna Limited with HID, 06 Avalon Limited with HID and the new 08 Scion TC now with HID. The 4300K kit was almost dead on with the two factory sysytems. Cutoff and glare were very similar to factory lights, but oh my goodness what a difference from stock halogens. The night we picked up the car I openly complained to my wife about the poor lighting compared to our other Toyotas. Well, no more complaints.

Thank you for your HID Kit!

That doesn't sound right to me. You have the 2008 Scion tC headlamps but want to kit to connect to your foglights instead of your headlight plug? So that means when you turn on your fogs - your actually fogs will not turn on and your headlights will turn on.

is there any pics of the red custom color? after seeing that purple i think red might be interesting!
Sorry, we do not. Everytime we've ordered them for customers, they've always picked them up before the night time for us to get a good picture.

I already have 9006 hid kit that bought from u, and I'm gonna modify 9006 bulbs (I've heard it's possible) to fit in h3 (fog) and keep ballast for headlights. So I need bulbs for headlights (h11) and ballast for foglights, yeah it sounds kinda confusing. But if it doesn't work, I can always order a new set of h3 and extra h11 bulbs!

So you know, you void the warranty on the bulbs if you cut the bulbs. As for making 9006's fit into H3's that is a lot of cuting and fitting to just plop a bulb in there. If you cut the bulb, you void our warranty. If you cut the base of the VRD foglamps, they'll be harder to sell if you decide to. I would just buy an H3 foglight kit and H11 bulbs for the 08 tC headlamps as you already have an HID kit from us. It comes to $200 shipped.

Also so you know, even the light emitted onto the ground is that of the lense of the headlight. So the Purple gives our a purple light onto the ground and the blue a blue light onto the ground.

Has anybody seen any drain on the battery/alternator when using both low beams and fogs that have been converted?

I havn't heard of any issues with it. The HIDs I believe use less wattage then the stock halogens. They just require more wattage during warm up. So it may be dim while turning on, but once they warm up shouldn't be an issue at all.

Alright partner, you'll be seein your kit before you know it.

Is there a strictly HIGH beam HID. I currently have Projectors with HID's for my reg lights do you have ones for my high beams that are brighter?
No there is not. But HIDs in place of your high beams will be extreamly bright as the housing for the high beam is ment to spread as much light as possible. To put it best, HIDs in your high beams will make your HID low beams just look silly.

I've noticed the reversed polarity on the '05+ Civics and I don't entirely know why that is. I just know that if you install the plug backwards, it works just fine.

As far as not running a relay, that's entirely up to you, but I recommend it. I've got quite a few shops in the local area that don't bother to run the relay harnesses and they come back with the most problems.

I adjusted the headlights on my xB, do you think this beam pattern if okay? I had to do it because I was getting flashed a lot ever since I lowered my car (even with the stock halogens). Does anyone else with an xB have a picture of their beam pattern?

You would need an H11 bulb and a 9006 harness so it would be plug and play for you.

are there instructions on how to change out the fog lights to HID
I am going to assume you have VRD fogs as that is what it shows in your sig. I don't have any instructions specificly for VRD fogs but it would consist of replacing the H3 halogen with our H3 xenon bulb and running the wiring harness.

quick question, the o-ring on the bulb is a bit big and won't allow me to turn the bulb in place. Would it be ok if I reuse the o-rings off the halogen bulb? It was kinda iffy because I don't know if the bulbs are shaking in the housing or the tc in front of me was shaking like crazy.

oh and when the bulb is lock in place, isn't the rod suppose to be pointing downward instead of at an angle. It's downward in my corolla (different kit), and on the passenger side housing but not on the driver side.

Make sure you are putting them in the low beam slot. Which would be the one closest to the fender on each side. Also, if they are in the correct slot. When you push in to twist, they should be locked in vertical.

emptystreets130
08-10-2007, 08:01 PM
yea, my driver side isn't locking in vertical. I've try so many times. Its also on the low beam.

So just your drivers side? Are you pushing in all the way when you turn? I feel like there is something being slightly over looked here.

08-11-2007, 01:20 AM
I put the stock bulb back in. It still does the same thing with the stock bulb. So I'm thinking it could be a manufactures defect with the housing.

but over all, these are by far the best color, and output that I've seen. Even better than the klight kit over at 9thgencorolla.

hey operatic, so I got right bulbs (6000k h11) on friday and I noticed those bulbs look definately yellower than my 9006 6k bulbs which I also got from u. I compared both and it doesn't even look white, it looks almost same as stock halogen. I was thinking if that is because those bulbs and my ballasts are not working well together?? I bought my 9006 hid kit back in january and I don't know if u r selling different brand bulbs right now...

davedavetC
08-12-2007, 03:19 AM

riboflavin
08-12-2007, 03:24 AM
yeah I have 08 projectors but I've seen some 08 projectors with 6000k hids and they look pretty white and even have bluish color... anyway I changed one bulb to my 9006 bulb and compared two side by side, and they were not the same color. h11 bulb looked like 4300k or something. It doesn't have white or blue hint in it, they are same as stock halogens....The thing is I really want 6000k bulbs. How could we solve this problem operatic?

installed my kit today finally.
just want to say as a complete HID noob, the kit was decently ok to figure out how to wire up. i think it would really help with some brief instructions or a wiring diagram of how the pieces fit together just for peace of mind. i was left wondering what some of the doodads did, but since they didnt plug into anything i just assumed they were there for wire connections and power converting.

the hard part was figuring out how to mount the ballasts with the zip ties. keeping those suckers on lockdown takes some effort.

overall, the output looks great, and no complaints really so far. just wish it had some rough instructions/diagram.

thanks !

They are $60 shipped for a pair of bulbs that are not custom colors.

HIDs do not run hotter than OEM bulbs. Also, it looks like you drive a Scion tC or a Toyota Corrolla, either or - they both have headlamps where the high and low beam are on sepereate bulbs. So you would not need a bi-xenon kit but a single xenon kit.

For all xb2 owners, what is the setup on your HIDs? I got my kit connected to the hi-beam plug but have the bulb in the lo-beam housing because the lo-beam plug doesnt seem to work with the kit. But then it appears that both the lo-beam and hi-beam plugs are different because when i try hooking up the lo-beam plug to the hi-beams it doesnt work as well. So right now im running with hids on my lo-beam housing only when i hit the hi-beam setting, leaving me without hibeams. Is this confusing?

After looking into it more, the H11 plug is narrower than the other plugs of the same style. If you want, we can send you out a harness with just the narrow electrical blade ends so you may plug it into your low beam section.

is it normal for the ballast to make some minor buzzing sound?
Yes, the buzzing noise is normal.

Single xenon kits are for cars that have the high and low beam on seperate bulbs (tC's). While bi-xenon bulbs are for cars that have the high and low beam on the same bulb (First Gen xA's and xB's).

Granted you can use a single xenon kit on cars that have the high and low beam on the same bulb, but you will lose your high beams unless you have aftermarket projectors that split the low and high beams (IE put them on different bulbs).

u think it would be cool if i had 8k's for the low beams and 6ks for the high beams??? or would that just be freaky? cause i dont undersatnd really how high/ low works so i would like the high beams to be brighter casue well they r high beams
