whats the differences between the single xenon and the bi xenon? i dont know much about hids but im looking to get some trying to learn the difference and everything
Single xenon kits are for cars that have the high and low beam on seperate bulbs (tC's). While bi-xenon bulbs are for cars that have the high and low beam on the same bulb (First Gen xA's and xB's).
Granted you can use a single xenon kit on cars that have the high and low beam on the same bulb, but you will lose your high beams unless you have aftermarket projectors that split the low and high beams (IE put them on different bulbs).
okay i get it now thank you :P

Yes the Plug and Play kit will work on your 2008 Scion tC with projector headlights. A lot of our customers upgraded to the 2008 headlights and our HIDs worked fine in them.

u think it would be cool if i had 8k's for the low beams and 6ks for the high beams??? or would that just be freaky? cause i dont undersatnd really how high/ low works so i would like the high beams to be brighter casue well they r high beams
for emphasis

For high beams, it is nice to have 4300k-6000k as they are high beams and 4300k-6000k put out the most usable light

Wow, great price. I havent seen too much about an xa install, although from what I gather I need the dual filiment 4 ballast 2 lamp kit.
My main hold up about buying a hid kit is my use of high beams for signaling people, off highway use and being an a hole down the highway. I drive during the day, night on all the interstates in VA, i64, i95, i295 and 460 not to mention back roads to and from Richmond, VA to Surry, VA where Mike Vick was in the news regarding something. I drive exclusively with high beams off of the highway at night. Both before and after the sun rises.
I guess one of my 2 questions is, are the high beams on par or better than the stock ones or bulbs with this kit? What about flashing someone with the lamps already on? Is it still delayed since both filiments are in the same bulb vs seperate ones? I have dial up and can not view videos.
I was looking at a drl kit and think if high beam functionality is on par with stock once they are warmmed up, I could just modify the kit so the lights are on with the ignition or acc circuit, so I have my drls and access to high beams to flash when its light out.
Thanks.

For your xA, if you wanted to keep your high beams, you would need our bi-xenon kit.
As for the high beams, they will put your stock bulbs to shame. As for flashing someone, it would be no different than if you were to regularly flash someone. They still get the idea that you're trying to tell them something. There is a slight delay, but people tend to get the idea.

Yes, this sounds like a grounding issue. Make sure you ground it directly to the frame of the car. I used a stock bolt that was near the battery on the radiator support. Hope this helps.

It does sound like a grounding issue. Recheck your ground and just go over all of your connections to ensure they are nice and tight. If the problem persist, hit me up.

operatic
10-12-2007, 01:38 PM
The light output of all the Custom Colors is exactly the same as a 4300k bulb. This is because all of our Custom Colors start off as 4300k bulbs, but then the gases inside are altered to produce a different color.

10-17-2007, 07:05 AM
Not a complain or anything, but I ran into a little bit of trouble today while installing my Single Xenon 9006 6000k HIDs for my Scion tC.
When trying to put the HID bulb into the socket, it wouldn't stay tightly put in place. The reason is because the specification on the HID bulb's rubber gasket (The small round thing that goes around the bulb, which can be removed) was different from the ones in my OEM lightbulb and therefore it wouldn't stay securely in the headlight.
I had to switch the one I had on my OEM lightbulb to the HID lightbulb in order for it fit securely and tightly.
Just wondering if anyone else had this problem, because I would imagine all 9006 tC lightbulb would be the same, and had done the same to make these HID bulb tight and secure.
Why isnt it a direct fit?
davedavetC
10-17-2007, 10:53 AM

would you be able to sell me 6000k h1 bulbs only?
Yes we can, the price is $60 shipped, I sent you a PM
Thank for the guide bro.
I just have one thing to say. When I installed the HIDs today, the HID bulb wouldn't stay tight in the lightbulb socket. You have to transfer the little round rubber gasket from the OEM bulb to the HID one in order for it to fit. Dont know if other TC owner had that problem or not.
Just mentioning it, incase you guys wanna know. Thank.
Hey there, we just checked out the rest of our 9006 stock and just put them into a socket to see if they would fit and they did with no problem. It appears you got an odd ball one when manufactured they put on the wrong o-ring on, more than likely an H11 o-ring as those are bigger than the 9006 ones. In any case, sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

If you get a custom color, it will automatically be a 4300k bulb as all of our custom colors are 4300k bulbs with the gases inside altered to produce the desired color.

Here's an old picture

Also, our bi-xenon kits require 4 ballast as each bulb base has 2 xenon bulbs. Thus the need for 2 ballast per side.

Here are the instructions. It takes a person who has never done it before anywhere from 30-45 minutes. The most time you spend is figuring out where to mount the ballast. On top of that, you only need simple hand tools to do it.

Do you have a retrofit? If so, let me know if you need D2S or D2R. After that we can make the rest of your kit plug and play. Also, the price is the same for a D2S or D2R kit.

The Anzo's use H1 for the low beams and the VRD's use H3. For the Anzo's you'll need a custom kit with H1 bulbs and a 9006 harness.
As for the ballast, regulars are fine. Slim is only really needed if it was for a motorcycle application.
If you go to our website, they should be $130 shipped for a single xenon kit without any need for a coupon. I just double checked and they are. Our site might have messed up when you were looking at it.
noob here again..what is the difference between H1Vs H3 Vs H4 Vs 9006..i understand the H1 is the low beams for the xb2?
H1, H3, H4, 9006, etc. Those are all bulb sizes. The different letter / number variations indicate the type of base the bulb has. For your 2008 xB, you would need an H11 for the low beam as long as you have factory headlamps. If you have aftermarket headlamps it changes things up a bit.

Your 2006 tC with factory headlamps use a 9006 for the low beam. If you have factory fog lights, they to use a 9006 bulb. The price for the Custom Color Green for the fogs would be $150 shipped.

It's all good, we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

There is a screw on the headlamp that adjust the height of the low beam

There is a spot on each side, I do not have a picture but if you look at the engine bay you'll notice a spot on each side where you can mount the ballast.

Most people do not adjust there low beams after they install the HIDs. People do it based on there personal wants and needs.

Hi,
I have been reading all over this thread and I don't know if I missed it but how long will these bulbs/ballast last? Because I am really interested in getting these. I have an '08 tC and the luminics bulbs have the color I want just not the brightness. Hope you still have an H11 kit in 6000K available.

They last for over 2500 hours. To put that into prospective, I've been running my HIDs on day and night for over 2 years and I'm still on my original set. Also, we do still have H11 6000k's in stock and ready to go.

-About the Unused wire from 'wiring harness', do you have the matching adapter with the factory wiring harness? or its SAFE to use that unprotected wires, which come with the kit?

I just installed my 5000k kit in my 08 projectors yesterday. Mos def brighter. When you have them on it's like you have your brights on. When you have them and your brights on it seems like it's mid day.
