Now there is not a huge light output difference between 4300k and 12000k. To illustrate my point, here is a comparison picture of the two on the same car. 12000k left - 4300k right

Custom Colors (added $20 charge and a 9-13 business day wait. there are other colors also, but these are the ones I have pictures of. These are not available for D2S/D2R or Bi-xenon bulbs)
Also, our Custom Colored bulbs start out as 4300k bulbs and then the gases inside are altered to give the desired color.
Here is a comparison between 4300k and a Custom Color Purple. Also this does not affect the life span of the bulb.

same question. will it be like having two kits? i cant't really tell by the pics which ones are bi-xenon..
06B0X 01-18-2007, 08:02 AM Bi-Xenon - Hi and low beam abilities with HID
IMHO, if low beam w/ HIDs isn't enough, you've got other things to worry about

Bump for this product. I have a set of HIDs (5000K, pure white), not from this seller, but he has the entire kit that is necessary for the most amount of safety with this upgrade. The relay harness that it comes with is the MOST IMPORTANT THING you should try to find. 160 for this kit is an extremely good price. Got mine for the same price. Very satisfied and the hook up was easy. The relay harness is great.
Just a friendly bump.
Here's a bit more accurate scale with more measurements in it:
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/HIDcharts.jpg
Also, it's important to keep in mind that the Kelvin scale works differently than what we think. The higher the Kelvin temperature, the less visible light is emitted. 4300K is Sunlight. 5000K emits about 3000 lumens and then it starts to fall after that. In rain, anything higher than 6000, and sometimes 6000K, will deminish your vision greatly. I would recommend sticking as close to 5000K as possible.
not to get off topic. but i'm not getting any output from my hid. does anyone know why this might be? thanks in advance for your guys/gals help! :)
Daskid 01-19-2007, 04:54 PM ^^ Where did you get your HIDs?

FredyCakes07 01-22-2007, 05:56 PM Are their any kits left? Thinking of getting the 6000K or 8000K kit. So are they stil for 140? If so then I'm sold
calvinlu85 01-22-2007, 06:07 PM do i have to connect to harness? I got a difference kit ( different seller), but it doesn't have the harness and the HID still fine.
You don't HAVE to, but it would be a safe suggestion to do so. It prevents the extra power needed to turn on the HIDs from running through the factory switch, which can become damaged over time. Granted, they will still work fine but that initial startup will eventually take its toll on the switch and stock wiring.
The harness allows the power to be taken directly from the battery rather than the switch and wiring is much larger (~14 gauge rather than 18 gauge) on the harness.

so, is it better to connect with the harness? :)
Yes, it's safer for your stock wiring and switch.
calvinlu85 01-22-2007, 06:37 PM it's so confuse and idk how to connect to the bulb ,ballast.

http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/DSC06180.jpg
That help?
the long wires coming off of the ballasts themselves are what connect into the HID bulb. There should be either a red and blue, or red and black wire set coming off the bulb and also off the ballast. Match those colors up and snap them together. Then do the harness connection from the battery out to the ballasts.
Look at the bottom with the little red circles. This is a 10mm bolt I unscrewed and used as my ground. The positive lead can bolt directly on the RED (positive) side of the batter under the little cover. There a 12mm bolt you unscrew and put it there.
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/groundbolt.jpg
calvinlu85 01-22-2007, 07:24 PM the harness of single xenon only 1 harness connection.
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d118/minhlu/3-1.jpg
Is that your kit? That's a biXenon kit. High and low beams it looks to me. The harness on the bottom is the standard single xenon kit and those blue plugs coming out of the box are for biXenon connections I believe. My single xenon kit never had those blue connections. 1 plug for 1 socket on mine.
Daskid 01-22-2007, 09:31 PM I got my kit and can't wait to put them on! Thanks Mike!
06B0X 01-22-2007, 10:39 PM Kit received and being installed ASAP.
FredyCakes07 01-22-2007, 11:21 PM was i forgotten or did they already ran out of kits? wow this really sux
Daskid 01-22-2007, 11:51 PM ^^ You're not forgotten. Mike's just a busy man. He'll get back to you later today. :D
Patience my friend....
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 12:01 AM Wow! Great deal! Does his particular kit draw from the factory power source, or does it have its own seperate harness. how many lm is your bi-xenon 8000k kit
Daskid 01-23-2007, 12:16 AM Own harness that draws power straight from the battery. IDK about the lumens for the bi-xenons. :D
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 12:29 AM Cool thanks!
06B0X 01-23-2007, 12:38 AM Dang Mike called me back to listen to me call myself an idiot. hahahaha
What a great guy!
brian 01-23-2007, 12:39 AM where are you located? anyway of saving some money and picking up? :)
06B0X 01-23-2007, 12:49 AM where are you located? anyway of saving some money and picking up? :)
They ship from Houston I believe and how much cheaper do you want an HID kit for?
He even sends them overnight at his own expense. I'd say stop thinking and buy the last kit at $140 shipped if its still available!
operatic 01-23-2007, 01:33 AM alright looks like all the questions were answered before I could get to em. thanks everybody http://images.honda-tech.com/set1/smile/emthup.gif
eggie 01-23-2007, 01:40 AM He even sends them overnight at his own expense. I'd say stop thinking and buy the last kit at $140 shipped if its still available!
I think I already did! Yeppee, for me! :P
and overnight is a nice bonus.
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 02:05 AM alright looks like all the questions were answered before I could get to em. thanks everybody http://images.honda-tech.com/set1/smile/emthup.gif
Not yet...How many lm is your bi-xenon 8000k kit
operatic 01-23-2007, 02:44 AM 2500 lumens
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 03:08 AM 5000 is 3200lm right? Do you have any pictures of a car with 5000k on it? I don't think i've ever seem em.
Jahnnie 01-23-2007, 03:24 AM dont forget to post pics after you install them guys! =D
operatic 01-23-2007, 03:53 AM Unfortunately I don't have any 5000k bulbs in stock that I can use in any of my cars to show you what they'll look like. But 4300-6000k are all going to be white.
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 03:59 AM Unfortunately I don't have any 5000k bulbs in stock that I can use in any of my cars to show you what they'll look like. But 4300-6000k are all going to be white.
whats the differance in lm from 4300 and 5000? I thought 5000 was the lowest as far as white goes, which is why I asked. 3000k is the same lm as 5000, so i'd assume its the same for 4300? Do you have any 4300-6000k you could show? I'm torn between the brighter, more 'legal' looking white, and the cooler, but dimmer 8000k blue.
Thanks for your help!
Jahnnie 01-23-2007, 04:08 AM jw if my order been shipped out yet. thanks again.
eggie 01-23-2007, 04:12 AM From what I read, he only has 6000 and 8000 kits available.
Also from what I have read, 4300 is the higher kumens and 6000K will yield you a 12% loss, So if 4300K is 3200lm the 6000k kit should be something like 2800lm.
operatic 01-23-2007, 04:25 AM We always stock 4300k-12000k at all times. While custom color orders are ordered on the spot.
eggie 01-23-2007, 04:56 AM I found this:
3000K = Great light output (3400 lumens), Yellow, excellent for bad weather.
4500K = Great light output (3400 lumens), White, best performance
5000K = Great light output (3200 lumens), Pure white, very light blue hue. Light still white on the road
6000K = Good light output (3000 lumens) , White with blue/purple hue, best looks
FredyCakes07 01-23-2007, 05:22 AM that actually helps a lot. i have an rs2 tc and i'm not sure if i should go with the 6000k, or 5000k or what... so confused, i like that col blue affect but will it be enough light though?
Daskid 01-23-2007, 08:22 AM So I got mine earlier today and installed it. Here are some snapshots!
Here are my 9006 to 9005 modded Ultras:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p66/jehoo/Mine/HID%20Install/DSC01222.jpg
Left: 6000K Xenon HID
Right: 9005 Utras
As you can see, the Ultras became yellowish compared to the 6000K HID. As with the pic above, it's really the Ultras' color and not really yellow.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p66/jehoo/Mine/HID%20Install/DSC01226.jpg
Both 6000K Xenon HIDs
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p66/jehoo/Mine/HID%20Install/DSC01227.jpg
Not the best cut-off but the glare is minimal. Already adjusted the lights to point lower so that I won't blind any oncoming traffic.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p66/jehoo/Mine/HID%20Install/DSC01229.jpg
The pics don't do justice with the brightness and color of the light output from the HIDs. They are really bright with a slight kiss of blue. Get this color if you don't want to go with some ricer blues. :P
Thanks operatic for shipping it so fast!! Great product + Relay harness + overnight shipping = what more can you ask for?!?!?!
riboflavin 01-23-2007, 09:19 AM damn I missed ups today, first thing to do tomorrow morning will be go and pick them up by myself. Can't wait!!!
operatic 01-23-2007, 01:17 PM glad your enjoying the HIDs Jehoo
eggie 01-23-2007, 03:31 PM They are bright, now I can't wait...
Daskid 01-23-2007, 04:55 PM Oh they're really bright. I tried being a little responsible by pointing the lights down on the road and not to oncoming traffic. I'd say that's SOP for putting HIDs in reflective headlight housings. :D
xBtenchu 01-23-2007, 05:21 PM Oh they're really bright. I tried being a little responsible by pointing the lights down on the road and not to oncoming traffic. I'd say that's SOP for putting HIDs in reflective headlight housings. :D
SOP, lol, I thought only the military used that in normal every day speech, lol

riboflavin 01-23-2007, 09:30 PM I just installed mine and it looks awesome, white with hint of blue color. It's not dark outside so I gotta wait to see real difference.
BADS33D 01-24-2007, 12:18 AM Oh they're really bright. I tried being a little responsible by pointing the lights down on the road and not to oncoming traffic. I'd say that's SOP for putting HIDs in reflective headlight housings. :D

hey jehoo can u post more pics but of the ur entire car with the hids on? and not just the light? i just wanna see how it looks like. dont do it from up close...not too far but not too close..i just wanna see how the glare is, if any.
06B0X 01-24-2007, 12:29 AM Ok so my issue is resolved and like I thought, installation error....
I'll take pictures tonight once I get home (gotta love having a carport wall to shine lights on)...
Love these, thanks!
Now to keep myself from buying another set for the fogs :nails:
eggie 01-24-2007, 01:27 AM If you have stock headlamps, they have the adjustment things you can tweak.

riboflavin 01-24-2007, 05:21 AM it's weird, but I guess it's from ballast or somewhere
xBtenchu 01-24-2007, 05:25 AM have you tried popping your hood at KOEO (Key On Engine Off) and bobbing your head around to pinpoint where the noise is coming from? I'd assume its not normal since nobody else mentioned it, maybe then operatic can help you replace it the specific part (if it is indeed a problem)

There is glare but it's minimal. I drove around town and these lights are sweet. The lights even extend to the sides. Nobody flashed me yet, and I don't think they will. I can see clearer and brighter now. :P

That help?
stupid question. anyone have pics of where to plug the the "stock harness connection" end of the hid harness? the exact location.
No pic but the exact plug that you unplug from behind a stock light bulb. It's a male fitting and fits into the black female plug I have labeled above for the "stock harness connection."
Jahnnie 01-26-2007, 12:36 AM but theres only one connector on the wiring harness though. i only have to plug it into one of the stock harness plugs from any of the light blulbs?
Yes. You'll have to use the driver's side b/c of the way our harness is designed. All that is for is to activate the connection between the battery and the headlight switch via the new relay that we added in between them.
That's it :)
Jahnnie 01-26-2007, 01:16 AM thanks. that answers everything i need to know. much appreciated! :silly:

Thanks for the speedy shipping also. I'm a 100% satisfied customer.

You should also have a fuse that is solely for the daytime running lights. You can unplug that and they'll never come on unless you turn your headlights on. Try it and let us know.
Daskid 01-26-2007, 08:04 PM I was thinking of putting a custom DRL system on my hi beams. But after reading some FAQs on that website and after installing these great HIDs, I won't bother anymore. I love the way my HIDs light up the road from side to side.
Last night. I almost hit a big blown tire on the freeway and Im doing about 75 - 80mph. The HIDs helped me see the tire clearly and miss it just in time. If I was using halogens, I'd be in the body shop right now paying $500+++ just to fix and paint my bumper. :relief:
Bump for a great product!
Yup, I have already fallen victim of blown tire. Costed me over 500 to get a new sideskirt. Could have gotten three of these kits with that money. With three of these kits, not only would I have seen that thing, but if focused right at the same spot, would have evaporated that damn thing.

box_x 01-28-2007, 03:54 AM I don't think I have ever seen an aftermarket bi-xenon kit that had FOUR ballasts with it. Every kit that I have seen uses a servo motor to either move the bulb or move a sheild to produce "low beam" and "high beam" with a single pair of bulbs and a single pair of ballasts.
This appears to be a single pair of bulb housings but with two HID bulbs in each one - so you need four ballasts? Is one of the bulbs sheilded for low beam and the other not for high? Or do both bulbs illuminate to make a high beam (4x HID would be quite bright) ?
The downside (beside the extra cost) is having to find a place to mount twice the number of ballasts you would normally have to fool with.
Thanks,
Dennis
operatic 01-28-2007, 02:44 PM what happens is when you switch the high beam and low beam it bascially switches off. The high beam bulb is off set so the light shines higher. If you are worried about delay times, you don't need to worry heres a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln7k2p3tBfs) of how long it takes the HID's to warm up and switching between low and high beam.

You are supposed to take a few "wow" shots with one halogen and one HID so everyone can see how it looks from inside and outside the car with just one. Then everyone goes "wow, I need to get some of those".

eggie 01-30-2007, 04:45 AM I got the kit today and installed. Super bright 4300k and I am very happy.
One small problem that maybe someone can help me with. I have aftermarket headlamps, which have separate high beams. I thought if I used the spare wires for the bi-xenon it would work as that is how my old harness looked, but it doesn’t. I only have one side high beams.
Would anyone know how I could fix that?

i think you need a new hobby bud. Just make sure the positive wire from the kit is hooked up to the positive wire from the car's harness and vice versa for the negative. Easy stuff, should take no more than 2 minutes.
eggie 01-30-2007, 11:40 PM Does anyone have a picture of a harness for a tC, specifically the connector to the factory harness?
http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/DSC06180.jpg
operatic 01-31-2007, 01:28 AM Yes, that photo should help anyone out that is having problems installing our HID kit
eggie 01-31-2007, 02:03 AM Oh, so the tC has a separate connection for high beams...
Do people with xB's loose the high beam? I'm trying to figure out how to still have high beams with my aftermarket lamps. I had separate 9006 low and 9005 highs, but now only one high beam works...
I got my low beam kit and I still have my standard 9005 highbeams working properly. Seems like you either didn't connect something or something is crossed. Just hooking it up plug for plug keeps full functionality unless you missed something.
eggie 01-31-2007, 02:13 AM A little history, I have an xB. Which is 3 prong. I bought Ichiko style headlamps which have a 9006 low and 9005 high. The kist came with an adapter that splits the 3 prong into 2 separate connections.
My HID kit had the similar 3 prong connection and I figured I could use the spare wires on the prong for the highs but that didn't work, why... don't know. They came already split.
Here are two odd things that I can't figure out.
1. I can not have the high beam bulb unattached or the system will not come on.
2. I tested the wires with a volt meter. The drivers side where the wiring harness conenct reads -11.52. The right side reads +11.51.
Trip that one out. That is reading from the high beam socket. Weird huh... I thought the harness sent might be switched up, but the wiring is identical to the harness that came with the Ichiko headlamps.
I don't know, I was going to figure it out this weekend, unless someone has any ideas???
Wow, weird.............sorry bro. No clue on that one..............got any pics of the stock harness and how the other plugs look? Maybe start another thread about this and see if others can focus in on this? Engifineer would be a great help. He's really good at the electrical area of autos.
Daskid 01-31-2007, 02:21 AM Yeah, pics would help a lot in solving your problem. Some of us are not really good using our imagination. :P
eggie 01-31-2007, 02:24 AM I'll put some together.
eggie 01-31-2007, 02:56 AM So you guys got me thinking. Maybe the wires in the harness are somehow crossed, but how can they be, they are identical to the other harness.
Anyways, I found a blown fuse. Now I wonder what blew it????
Check your ground and any spliced ends. Make sure there's no arch in the crimps.
eggie 01-31-2007, 03:31 AM I soldered where necessary, then took everything apart trying to figure out what was going on. The crimped everything back together.
It is grounded to the chassis using the bolt on the radiator support.
I swapped fuses and tested it, nothing blew, so I guess I did something during install. Anyways, thanks all for getting my mind into gear.
Again, thanks all.

It's almost like going from Dialup internet to hi-speed internet. You just don't want to go back.
I also worked with a guy named Hanh Court regarding the purchase of this kit. Great communication. Even with this problem I created for myself, I got response after response.
AWESOME..............welcome to the HID realm! haha.................congrats and good luck with them :)

m...i am wondering is there an order that which connector i should connect first??
does it matter if i connect positive lead to battery first or i should connect ground first?
I make it a rule to ground everything first. Just so that if something is hot it doesn't ground through you instead of the frame of the car.
frankyhg 01-31-2007, 08:48 PM so you mean i should connect ground connector first ? is that what you mean?
Well, you can connect everything else in whatever order you want but leave the positive for last. Just as long as you don't have power running through the wires while connecting the other parts.
Hot wire last.

I should be gettin my set today or tomorrow. I got the 10000k so hopefully they are really blue. I'll get some pics of mine as well.
Damn, I really hope it doesn't rain much where you live. Let us know how it is in the rain with basically UV colored lights. Drive safe!
HyPn0TiC 02-01-2007, 11:45 PM Im not too worried. If need be I'll just but a second set. 10000K isnt the UV though. 10000K is the pure blue. 12000K is the purplish UV color.
UV is actually a blue color. Ultraviolet range is like an Indigo (mix of deep blue and purple).
The Hubble space telescope takes deep space light images in UV color filters. This is what you get:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7a/Satellite_Footprints_Seen_in_Jupiter_Aurora.jpg/300px-Satellite_Footprints_Seen_in_Jupiter_Aurora.jpg
The purple comes after that range and is a higher frequency ultraviolet light.
Above is what you'll see in the housing but this is what will be shown on the road. It's blue in the lens but purple on the roads.
http://www.hidgarage.com/images/Ebay/comin-12k-s.jpghttp://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r52/webmancorvette/pic.jpg
Definately looks nice though.
Here's a good color chart:
Labeled is the beginning point of UV light:

HyPn0TiC 02-02-2007, 02:33 AM Blue in the lens is exactly what I want. Im also gettin HID fog lights and I'll probably get them in 6000K or 8000k so I'll be fin when it comes to driving.
aznpimp 02-02-2007, 03:31 AM so do u have H3 3k for the fogs ? $140 shipped ?
fishingexpert87 02-02-2007, 04:21 AM i got my hids in, they are beautiful!!! its so sexy :) the only problem i had tho was that when i have my sound system on, and i turn the hids on, i hear like a noise (sounds like when someone dies in the hospital beeeeeeeeeeeeeep) and its annoying, so i had to move the wire around trying not to touch the sound system wire but it still did it, but out of nowhere, idk what i did but it stopped for now, i hope it stays noisless. and also i thought the kit would work without the relay but it didnt , so one of the plugs are not in use so i had to tape it up. but aside from that everything is great!
Daskid 02-02-2007, 05:07 AM Nice to hear another happy and satisfied customer! Way to go Mike! You're smokin hot on selling HIDs. I hope this special won't end. :D

Daskid 02-04-2007, 08:47 AM Anybody bought a 12000K HID kit yet? Would like to see operatic's 12000K HIDs.
box_x 02-04-2007, 08:09 PM Not ragging on anyone's color choice, but those 10000k and up bulbs are sure not putting out much light compared to the lower color temp bulbs.
The 4300k and most 5-6000k bulbs put out the most (some 5-6000k bulbs put out a little less than the 4300k), but as you go up from there the light output goes down pretty sharply. Even the 12000k should put out more than the OEM low beam but may not put out as much (or much more) than the OEM high beam. And on a single bulb (H4) setup like the xB you will end up with nice LOOKING lights that may not light up the road as much as the cheap OEM bulbs on high beam.
For a car with four bulbs, not as big a deal since you can look cool and blue/purple then light up the road with the (yellowish) high beams when you need to, but it is something to think about if replacing OEM single high/low halogens with a single H4 setup.

MisterKe 02-06-2007, 12:41 AM This is cool, for some reason my 8000k kit looks more purple than blue. I actually had to readjust my headlights UP. I wasn't getting the light output distance I wanted. Pics comeing soon.
