Shifter knob on auto tran.
I think someone posted a how to way back but the answer is yes several people have done it. Here is a link to a auto shift **** conversion. . .

I think if you do a search on "shifter boots" and ***** you might find the posting form a guy last year who made his auto look like a stick.
The problem everyone was running into was the O/D button, but I know that the link has a **** that might work and the guy with the manual looking automatic just tucked the wires away. Honestly most of us have no use for the O/D button. Good luck on your search.

I took off the stock grip, popped out the stock o/d button, moved it to an open switch space in the center stereo console area, chopped down the shifter by about 4 inches, and attached a new shifter ****. I made a custom boot to go around it all too. I dont have a how to or pictures or anything, and I dont consider it finished yet either. But it is possible and it does look great. I hated the auto shifter sticking up so high. I really felt that it got in the way. If you have any questions, I can try to help you thru it. I can go out and look at mine (or whats left of mine) if you have a specific question too.
