I was in traffic, slowing for a light, when I noticed a guy in a crew cab 4x4 two lanes over really checking out my xB like it had just arrived from another planet.

Then I pulled into a parking lot next to a Pep Boys. A mechanic came running out of the service bay. "Oh man, I've been waiting for one of those to come by here!" He had a lot of questions. :?: :?: :?: :?:

While we were talking, another guy came came over.

I guess I'll have to get used to it.

I was picking my daughter up from her art class, parked outside just waiting, when an older guy comes walking out of a store right next to the art studio and makes a beeline right to the car. He said he loved the styling of the car, thought it was one of the neatest cars he's seen, and when I told him how much, he couldn't believe it. Also, found out later, the art instructors were asking my daughter what kind of car I was driving. 'Course she replies, "it's the box car"! Not sure if she got Scion in there or not...!

I notice lots of people rubber necking. And we're always getting questions when going to and from the parking lot of the grocery store.

The funny thing is I live in a small town and my wife and I are known for driving a lifted F250 4x4. And so when people see me driving the xB they're saying WTF?!

One thing is for damn sure. People do not drive around me while I'm in the xB with the same "respect" as they do when I'm in the F250. So now I take my gun with me everytime I'm in the xB.

Same here. My "other" ride is a stuffed '02 black Avalanche. Going from something that big to an xB, sometimes I wonder if some people see me at all. Worse yet, when me and she are out in her Buick LeSabre we are completly invisible!!!!!!

just think of the california boys who had the car before they were even being advertised.. I constantly had people asking me questions, pulling over etc...... in fact when i first bought the car I had two people taking pictures of it in traffic on the freeway.......... you'll get used to it. Dont be suprised if you start seeing the people you are talking with show up one day in a scion.... I know a couple of people in nor cal who I talked with you now have them................

Oh know what really irrates me?
It really gets the attention of the men in blue. I had a cop tail me one night back to my buddys house then turn around and drive off. Last night i had one follow me when i pulled up to talk to some friends... he just sat bout 15 yards back and when we moved he moved. Drove past a cop at a intersectiion and he was going the oposite way of me turnin on to the road but waited till I had gone past to pull out... Just sat there watching me. Maybe its the roll call on the windows and the exhaust. Maybe its bored Howard County Cops

It's cool but scary, have had people nearly run off the road or have a wreck while cranking their heads to get a longer look almost makes me feel guilty. NOT :P

I've noticed at stop lights people pulling up beside me check out the front end. I think the tiny engine compartment (compared to the rest of the car) fascinates them--like "what's in there". One lady asked me if it ran on batteries. "Yeah, four D cells."

I think I got some people fired at O'Reilly Auto Parts....they saw me pull up and i went into their to get floor mats. Once I paid they asked if they could check it out (sure of course). So they leave the store with people waiting in line to check out....

Must be Howard County. The boys here in AA county seem to ignore mine. Once I went to a friends house though and there was some.....unpleasantness and a bunch of cops were there. When they were about to leave one of the cops was walking by my xB and he stopped and started shining his light inside it (it was dark). Then he was like 'how do you like your Scion?' I was like, 'its nice; gets good mileage.' Then he was like 'you had it up to 100 yet?' I was like...pfft, no.

I was driving along one day, and this guy was hooking up his Civic with his friend, and when I went by. He turned around, dropped his jaw, stopped talking on his cell and just watched me drive by. My dad and i were just rolling. It was so funny. Going to Baltimore airport people were just driving by and staring. Its so funny.

It's the CAR everone is lookingat? All this time I thought it was just me.

I am laways amazed at the diverse group of people that stop to ask questions. Retires to 12 year old thinking about what xB they want when they are old ebough to drive.
