My bother and dad just got back from two weeks in Japan. The first import shop they went into they saw a Toyota bB sitting out front. Heres the funny thing. He had replaced his bB emblem and Toyota emblem with a xB and Scion. They said they didn't see many bBs over there. They were all over Tokyo and Yokohama and saw a lot of Nissan and another MUV.

People want what they can't have.

If they had chrome poodle turds on the cars in Japan, someone in the States would be paying outrageous bucks to get one for his own car. Meanwhile, some dude in Japan is searching the net for plastic Virgin Marys to stick on the dash of his specially imported Buick.

 

Scan through the pages of the "bB Bible", it is loaded with Japanese bB's sporting USDM "conversions". A lot of shops even selling the badge kits and parts you need to make the conversion - for good $ too!!

If someone had a brain on their shoulders and a want for some money, they could sell Scion emblems, xB and xA emblems, USDM door sill trim, Scion steering wheel center covers, Scion floor mats and etc on eBay Japan for a good profit.

Well well, life's like that isn't it,... everything come back in a circle,... the Yanks are copying Japstyle, while the Japs wants Yankiestyle...... same here in Singapore, we tend to like Japstyle and trends when it comes to mods, fashion, music, etc etc... but then many times in trying to copy the latest in Japan, many end up having what we local call.... Bengstyle.

 

Yeah, if you got some friends in Japan, I would send the emblems, etc to them. Have them up for sell on Yahoo auction. I am sure that you get the emblems for about 75 bucks, the center air bag piece on the steering wheel for 400 bucks.

 

Has anybody with a bB Bible noticed the GMC conversions I almost died when I saw that!
