QUESTION TO ALL OF YOU SPONSORED VEHICLES HERE IN SCIONLIFE:

sup guyz, let me introduce myself, my name is nestor i currently own a 2005xb and i have done few mods, here and there, spent my money myself and work hard for what i got on there now, i love cars, trucks, bikes etc ...
but i see few cars all fixed up (show cars) fully sponsored how do they do that?
this are my main questions, how can i do it, i have done the proposal, car its mid-way finish, different than others and no luck,
I want this thread to help everyone outhere see, and know what it takes to obtain one, so far i had accomplish couple of them, small ones which i really appreciate it, for those who believe on me and stuff.....

ANY TIPS on obtaining one? whats your point of view,? and what you reccommend not just for myself but for others.....

I wanted to get ready for this year and finish my proposal and no luck i contacted 3 company's and three of them turned me down... so i stop sending, should i continue on sending them or just give up...

There's plenty of threads on this subject but I'll give you a couple pointers from my own experience:

1.) Make sure your proposal is top-knotch. Proposals should be laid out with complimenting graphics, pictures, and computer rendering of your end goal. If you do not have experience with computer renderings, it is my suggestion that you find a company/person who does. I had mine done through www.teskedesign.com. My personal opinion is that your propoisal should always been in PDF format. Easier to read & print.

2.) The sad, but honest, truth is that a lot of the time you need to "have contacts" already. It's who you know - not what you know. Go to every single show imaginable and talk to people. Talk to vendors. Get business cards. Give them your business card. Unless they know you and like you and really belive in what you're doing - you don't really have a chance. Remember, you're competing against thousands of other xB's out there that may have plenty more done to them.

3.) Most large, legit companies will not even consider you for full sponsorship until you've established yourself with another car already - or you have the backing of a company who has already established themselves. That means you've already build a really amazing vehicle with your own money.


Others will give tell you to just keep trying and to just email your proposal all over the place - and yeah, you'll get a couple little nibbles from small companies - but the overwhelming fact remains that not everyone can build a show car and get big name sponsors.
